Hi seniors!

I would like to know about the minimum ielts required in each category . I read somewhere that in listening we require 6.5! But when I checked the cic website it says this "

International English Language Testing System (IELTS)

An FSWP applicant must score at least 6.0 on the IELTS General Training test in each of the four skills to meet the minimum language threshold of CLB 7.

Please confirm !

As stated on CIC website, you must score a minimum of 6 in each skill area to meet the minimum threshold. Best of luck.

Hi Everyone,

Could someone please help me and clarify some points for me.

I have applied for PR under the FSWP 2013. On this application I am the main applicant and I have included my common law partner who I have been in a relationship with for nearly 10 years. I have recveived a PER and paid the initial fees for myself and my common law partner.

My question is when I hopefully receive PR will my common law partner also receive PR at the same time or will I have to then apply to sponsor him under the family class programme?

I would really appreciate if anyone could clear this up for me.

Thanks :)

Hi, since your application included your partner then the person is covered by your application. The PR visas will be issued to the both of you when your VO approves your application. It will be instant access to Canada with the full rights of citizens except voting. See you at the top :)

Hi seniors!

I have a question!

Under fswp , I am applying under 1123. Now my confusion is that all my old work experience's JD fits the NOC 1123 but the designations are different!

Will I get points for the work experience if my designation is different but I have signed JD of noc 1123 from my old company!

Plz suggest!

Eg - my designation was ' sales manager - ads sales ' with JD of noc 1123 but in the list of designations given in website doesn't have the above designation! :(

Waiting for a informed reply from experienced members!

Thanks

Hi, what you saw on the NOC list are just examples of some of the job titles, it is not an exhaustive list. Different companies use different titles or designations all over the world. What my company calls me may be different from what your company calls you even though we are doing the same job descriptions. CIC does not care about titles but the job roles which must match for your NOC. So go ahead and apply, all the best. :)

Thank you 'pipis husband '!

Hi

For funds for settlement do I need to have fixed deposits in my own name only? I have joint FD s with my parents! Will that also do! Can I show FDs in my wife's and her parents name ! I think it would be counted as half the amount! I am asking this again because I read in the forum somewhere that it has to be only in my wife's or mine name!

A little confused! Has someone shown their funds in FDs combined with other family members! Have they been counted!

Last stages of filling my application just a little more worried now! Want to make sure that I send everything perfectly!

Please suggest!

Hi, you can only use funds in your name, your wife's name or both your names as a couple. Funds that are in your parents' names with your name or your wife's names with her parents' names don't count and will not be accepted. Ensure you do things the right way to avoid getting your application returned and hurry, time is of the essence. All the best ;)
