I’m sorry if these have been asked (I’m sure they have), I was unable to find answers from doing a search.

- What exactly does a passport request entail?
- Why am I seeing people say and talk about requested background/police checks? We obtained one from my husbands country (UK) and sent it with the application as I read this was a requirement. Will we need to obtain another one?
- Does anyone have any experience with their applicant being in the country when PR is approved? We checked with an immigration officer at our land border last year who advised us the applicant can be here on a visitor visa while the PR paperwork is processing. We’re hoping to time it right so he’s here when/if he’s approved. But I don’t know how this affects the landing interview and all those sort of things.

Thank you ❤

If he's British, either sending a copy of his passport or not getting PPR at all.

Some people are required to send updated PCCs if apps take a long time, some didn't submit necessary PCCs upfront etc. He should not have to get another one.

If he comes here, he needs to update his address with IRCC. His COPR will be mailed here. He needs to either flagpole at the Canada-US border or make an appointment to land at an IRCC office (both of which aren't possible right now due to COVID-19.
