I called the call centre and they told me it counts as an overpayment and they ill refund what they dont need and the mistake doesnt show up for them just an overpayment...thank god.SchnookoLoly said:

I overpayed because I mixed up the amounts.. I ended up paying $1100 instead if $1040. I received an email from CIC about 4 days after AOR, that they were issuing a refund of $60 and that was that. 5 minutes later I received an email with my sponsorship approval.
As long as you paid enough to cover the fees, there shouldn't be a problem and they will refund you no problem.
