We received a letter on March 21, 2011 requesting additional documents, and said we have to submit those within 90 days. 90 days from March 21, should be June 20, 2011.

I just received our CAIPS notes today and the Bring Forward Date is 06-09-2011 or September 6, 2011.

My question is will our file be reviewed around June 20 or September 6?

My worry is that even though we have requested an updated FBI Clearance to meet the June deadline, if our file isn't going to be reviewed until September, then this updated FBI Clearance won't even be valid when they review our file in September. :'(

Any advise or help is appreciated.

Maybe it means June 9??

I hoped so, but I checked how all the other dates were recorded and they are DAY-MONTH-YEAR FORMAT.

I also cross referenced this on http://immipedia.ca/BF
which states, "A Brought Forward, or "BF", date is the date assigned to an immigration file on which the file will next be reviewed. The next BF date can be found by ordering the FOSS or CAIPS notes for the file. For example "BF'd to XYZ on 15/03/2007" in FOSS would indicate the file will next be reviewed on 15th March, 2007.

Just hoping to hear some reassurance from anyone that may of had their file reviewed prior to the stated BF date. The FBI expiry is a real concern, since we have to submit it by June but then by September it will be expired. :'(

What documents were requested, if you don't mind my asking?

They may review the file when the documents requested are received. And as long as the FBI clearance hasn't expired by the time they RECEIVE it you are fine.

Anyone knows what it means when your FOSS notes don't even have a BF date?

Thanks. They will receive FBI Clearance, days after we get them (again). I'm just concerned that they will be valid when Buffalo gets them, but if our file isn't reviewed until September (which is our bring forward date) they will be long expired. If they are going by the date it's RECEIVED it's all good, if they are going by the date it's REVIEWED, then it's not so good.

Medical exam for my husband's son, + updated FBI. I guess the updated FBI was requested because the original one that we sent, will be expired by the time they look at our file again.

Thats really strange, Im pretty sure the BF date is June and not September, theres no way they can review it in 6 months..its a family application and should be expedited. Since they changed the whole system, im suspecting they have adopted a new way of presenting dates which would be the Canadian style starting with the month/day/year.

Why didnt you submit the medz with your application?
Good luck to you...

I hope that is the case, however there are many dates listed on CAIPS

i.e. Application Received, Date of Birth, Expiry Date of Passport, etc, etc, etc. They are all listed in the format DD-MM-YYYY format. It would be odd to have all the dates, in this format and the Bring Forward date, be in MM-DD-YYYY. I would love for that to be the case, but it doesn't seem logical.

Oh well...maybe September it is then. That really sucks though but you will be ok. Hopefully they will review it upon receipt of all documents.
Best wishes
