Does it mean that if an applicant writes a Case Specific Enquiry,that in Itself may compel the CHC to act on your file? I read somewhere that as long as your case is within the given time frame then an applicant needn't make enquiries..Correct me if am wrong.Would you advice an applicant to go ahead and make a case specific enquiry even though the application period (timeline) has not surpassed yet?

Hi vehla... am also in the same boat. Its been 92 days since I did my meds, but just 11 days since I submitted my new passport to CHC, New Delhi.

Hey Jazz, what you say is also right, but there are a lot of ppl who do send case specific enquiries a long time before the time frame and do get auto replies from CHC. As far as in my case, my consultant says not to send Case Specific Enquiries as it will only further delay. The explanation they had given was once if it is in que, they will go about searching for the file and take it from the que, and again place it back probably, at the end of the que. They said it will slow by a month or two. So am not taking any risks. Hopefully, next week will be party for me.

i sent my ppt/med on 29 dec 2009.

two case specific enquiries have been shot by my consultant since feb. in the first instance, it was a stock kind of reply...processing times etc. in the second one, they have indicated some background checks that are being conducted which are probably keeping the process on hold... so you decide whether or not to send an enquiry. i feel it does'nt make a difference, those guys are pretty fair in processing applications and clear about their goals...it is personal curiosity that is killed by seeking application status.

hoping for the best while the wait is on...

then NO WORRIES ,send them enquiry .You will surely get good response.

no worries for case specific enquiries...send them as many u can..n they will response u as..the file status is there..there is nothin abt file in que.....if u are in iine ur in line..all over i can say that there is no effect of case specific enquiries on ur case....sometimes it helps to open the eys of immigration officer...

hi,

I have send 2 mails fist one in march 18 and second one today march 25 and i think first mail did not recah them second one reached them as i got automated message and when can i expect replyf or my mail???
