@ pkakula the letter dated 26 may reads exactly the same as quoted by you but there are two additional lines - one that they are returning PPs as they don't require them as of now and two, they'd call for PPs when they'd require. this could be a fall out of the fact that i sought my son's PP...

dear pradeep i got the same reply by post and along with that they have returned all the PPs also with a note that they will call for them when reqd...don't know whether its good new or bad... best

Normally withdrawn is a status shown as result of a candidates decision to do so.... If they have to do it then they'd reject it on procedural reason based on the case.... send a case specific enquiry... as it appears from other members' responses, it could be an error... nobody's perfect. best

@ SG and PPS7 every once in a while few cases get stuck in the detailed checks...these are not random but based on the procedural guidelines and perception of VO who makes the decision to refer the case for detailed checks. Discretion plays an important role. While the processing time...

@ SG no, i have'nt. like you my PPR/med request was made in about 2 weeks of submitting docu. in some other forum i read that such a thing usually happens when the case is refered to CSIS for BC. Case specific enquiries have indicated that they have asked external agencies for clearance etc...
