Good day!

Can anyone help me out? I'm planning to migrate to Canada. I already paid an agency to help me with my paper works. The agency was constantly reassuring me that I still have a chance to migrate even though I didn't meet the needed 67 points.
Can anyone please give me their views and opinion. It would greatly be appreciated.

Solution;
1.Either retake IELTS & increase ur band score or
2.Get marry with a guy who have graduate degree , then apply. you will be safe.

if you dont meet 67 points but you can really prove through documents that you will be able to establish yourself econimically in Canada than you can apply and ask for subsitutue evaluation...but keep in mind thats a very very risky road.....but possible...and you have to produce real good relevant cover letter and documents to make your point...try searching OP6 manual on www.cic.gc.ca and search for substitute evaluation in the manual...that will give you clarity over this...

I think a while ago you may have had a chance on 65 or 66 points, but certainly now CIO are instantly refusing cases which have less than 67 points - even those with 66 points.

And a 2nd eligibility review is done at the visa office and there have been cases where CIO have passed the application but visa office have disagreed and still failed it for lack of points.

So in line with my esteemed colleagues above I would say:
1. Try to improve your IELTS score to improve your points. Is it possible for you to learn basic French and additionally take a French test to earn a few extra points?
3. Secure a job offer in Canada (either with a Labour Market Opinion/Temporary Work Permit and apply from within Canada, or with an Arranged Employment Offer and apply from outside of Canada)

Please don't do Option 2. above and find someone to marry JUST to emmigrate!! :) Marriage is an even bigger decision that emmigration and should be taken very seriously! ;)

Out of interest how many points do you lack? Are you able to give us a breakdown on your score so we can advise where you may be able to make up points?

Best of luck,
Wayne.

You said that you have a BS, that is only worth 20 points not 22. You said that you have 1 years experience as an RN that only gives you 15 points. You require 2 full years to get 17 points.
