I just needed peace of mind on this as I am not sure about the answer.
I got Citizenship before the new rules were enacted this year. Will I loose my Citizenship privileges if I stay outside of Canada for more than 6 months now?
My wife will apply for Citizenship next year under the new rule (assuming current rules are in effect). Will she loose her Citizenship after becoming a Citizen (provided she stayed in Canada after sending in the Application) if she stay outside of Canada for more than 6 months (of course staying with me)?
Basically, I am confused of this 6 months rule. Seems it has created 2 different category of Citizens.
Would appreciate if someone could clarify. Many thanks.
