Please post here if you got ITA for CEC in the 5 draw.

There's quite a lot of confusion if any invitations were sent out for CEC in the 5th draw.

Also if someone can answer why when one makes a profile they qualify for both CEC and FSW and then get invited for FSW even though the candidate is primarily CEC. Is there any difference in accepting the invitation for FSW then CEC or should one just apply for whatever category the ITA is for..

Cheers!

I got an ITA for CEC in the 5th draw, I only qualified for CEC and that's what I got the invite for

I received an ITA in the 5th draw with a score of 514. I met criteria for both CEC and FSW. I'm filling out the application now but I do not see anything indicating if I was invited to apply under CEC or FSW. If someone knows how to tell I will get that information for the OP.

Cheers

The latest draw that resulted in a cutoff CRS mark of 481 was not program specific, which means that FSW FTP and CEC applicants were all part of the 1620 total invited to apply. I am expecting there to be a CEC-specific round of invitation very soon, the cutoff CRS mark is gonna be the lowest yet for said round :) Expecting my ITA to apply under CEC by May!

Hey MotorHed,

When you login to your CIC profile, head to your Express Entry profile page. Scroll down and you will see that your messages and letters from CIC. The last letter which you got on Friday, click it and a PDF will open. Your draw category should be mentioned on that letter.

Thanks mazamilam,

the letter indicates that I was invited under FSW. Like others, I considered myself primarily a CEC candidate before express entry came out.

My idea is that all of us with scores less than 600 (Without LMIA supported job offer) got ITA under FSW. Anybody scoring 481 and above without LMIA and job offer would qualify for both, FSW and CEC. And in this situation, the system picks the default option which is FSW.

I too was eligible for both CEC and FSW but got selected under FSW.

I'm just glad I'm in. Most of my papers are ready. Only applying for new Police clearance certificates because the old ones have expired.

Those who got ITA under CEC, can you confirm what documents are required for non canadian experience? Are you asked to provide reference letters for non canadian experience?

If someone has CEC application in process and they receive an ITA for EE and have met FSW criteria.. Can they apply for EE FSW and also have concurrently application in process for CEC? Or they would have to withdraw the older CEC application?

So the CEC Applicants are filling FSW vacancies?

To say the same thing in another way, CEC applicants are being moved to FSW in order to save CEC vacancies.

That's tricky. So we cannot rely on the estimate FSW (real FSW, like me) vacancies number. It's says around 51k, but having what you said in mind, I have to be a little less confident about that number.
