Yeah i created my profile yesterday and declared much less funds than 12000, I am in the pool now.
I checked the eligibility for CEC and proof of funds was not there. Please update us when you get a reply from CIC.
Sure.

I was checking he same thing on my profile, I score 449 and it was showing FSW and CEC both met.

I edited my profile and where it asks for if you have job offer, I have selected as Yes before because I was under impression as I am currently working so it should be Yes which is not the case. I selected No later and after editing my profile It shows only CEC met.

As you can check the FAQ for Express entry on CIC website, You should only select yes for that question if job is supported by LMIA.

I hope that clarifies the situation.

I have just changed my to "NO" to having a job offer, even though I have a job that is not supported by an LMIA. It is now changed to only CEC met. I hope you are correct with this. Please share the link to FAQ for Express entry.

Thanks

Actually, that is a good news in the sense that we now know how to qualify only for CEC. The questions in EE simply asks if you have a job offer, and then asks separately about LMIA. It does not ask if you have a VALID job offer, as in supported by LMIA.

I didn't know about the FAQ answer mentioned above, but yeah seeing that answer clarifies everything. However, what do people who already have ITA do now? I would suggest everyone who got FSW ITA, when they qualified for CEC as well, to send an email to CIC, asking them to revise the ITAs to CEC.

The proof of funds theory is not correct. I put PoF as 0 in my prpfile, still the system qualified me for both and I got ITA under FSW.
Really? but do you still need to provide PoF for the minimum required amount for FSW even though you put zero?

Thank you msmahmood. I will be updating my profile today to reflect that. Weird form of questioning though, as they do follow the question with another on whether or not the job offer is supported by a LMIA.

"minimum required amount for FSW" definitely yes, The criteria for FSW clearly mentions POF and POF is through LICO's conditions, but the criteria for CEC doesn't.
I think the person above didn't qualify for FSW but still got an ITA for it, he actually qualified for CEC, correct me if I am wrong.

You are right. I put my funds as 0, and to the job offer details, I said NO its not supported by LMIA. So technically, I qualified for CEC only, not FSW. But the ITA I received was for FSW. I have sent a case specific enquiry to CIC, lets see what happens. I would strongly encourage other people to do the same, so that CIC is aware of this error in their system.

Actually, when you put PoF to 0, the document checklist after ITA does not ask for PoF. But we knwo FSW has PoF as a requriement. So, I'm worried I'll run into problems later in my application, once it comes to PoF requirement stage.

Wow the system is very confusing.. Why do they invite under FSW when the profile is not even qualifying the requirements. Hope you get clarification soon, and please update us!

Why didn't I get points for my job offer?

To get points from the Comprehensive Ranking System for a job offer under Express Entry, your employer will need to get a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA).

You should only answer “Yes” to the question “Does [your name] have a job offer in Canada?” if a Canadian employer has offered you a full-time, non-seasonal job for at least one year, and that job offer is supported by a Labour Market Impact Assessment.

If you are currently working in Canada but have not been offered a job that is supported by a LMIA, you should answer “No” and create a Job Seeker account in Job Bank.
Thanks for the link Msmahmood. This clears everything. I wish people that already received ITA saw this on time. It's actually advisable for anyone that doesn't have valid job offer and answered yes to this question to contact CIC as suggested above. You may not have qualified under FSW based on this information.

Cheers
