Hi,

When the ITA is enabled in our EE profile a PDF document is also added in the messages section. Within the PDF file its mentioned that we have 90 days to respond to the ITA.
When we select the PR application in our profile and try to understand what is happening it says we have 60 days to respond to the ITA.

Has there been some change in the rules or a miscommunication going on?

Pradeepsrini, I am glad you brought this up. I saw the same - ITA letter says 90 days (05/31/2017 12:00AM UTC time) to complete the application, but when I log on to the CIC website to complete my online profile, I saw the 60 days timeline. I am confused too.

Also, in the ITA letter (IMM 5791), it says "Obtain the documents which you must submit with your application (see "checklist" for details)". What checklist? I did not receive any checklist other than the ITA letter which I downloaded from the inbox message from my CIC account. Same for you guys? I cannot find any checklist in the Help section too.

Hey guys I checked this.
Once you accept the invitation and proceed with application, you have 60 days to complete it. Same in my profile too. Now I have 59 days.

Etcotlife, what about the "checklist"?

Do we just populate the online profile in the CIC website? I have not found the documentation "checklist" anywhere.

After you give all your information through a series of online forms, like work history, education, etc, they will guide you to a page where they will list the documents which you have to upload as scanned copies.
Thanks

They are also connecting in a post in the EE section.

Thanks Etcoflife.

Just to be clear, do you mean that after populating all requested information in the CIC website:

1. All forms for the primary applicant and family members will be Green with Status "Complete"
2. Only when all statuses are complete, will the website guide / bring us to another page where they will list all documents to be uploaded.

Is that correct? I just want to know if I am not seeing that checklist because I have not completed all forms.

Also:

3. Once we have uploaded all scanned copies of paperwork, do we also make sure we have the hardcopies available to be mailed later?
4. Is the 60 days inclusive of the paperwork gathering or after completing the online forms, we have a new timeline?

Thanks.

1 and 2 is correct. If all ticks are not green you cannot see checklist upload page. Similarly if you do not upload all required docs you cannot go to payment page.
3 definitely.
4 Once you start filling forms (green tick) your clock starts as all the information is saved. Every day they count. last time I was shown that I had 59 days to finish it.

Imp: Please keep your credit card ready before going to the payment. Only proceed if you have payment ready. They have a time limit etc etc which you may avoid.

Thanks

Thanks for the heads up, Etcoflife.

You are fast! Further questions:

5. Do you know when the Police Certificate and Medical Checks come?

6. I have all documentations (I believe) available electronically. However, I am not sure if my hardcopies tally 100% in documents where I have obtained legalization (apostille) such as birth certificates. Is it okay if I upload what I already have electronically scanned and when I have to mail the hardcopies, I mail the ones I have and the apostille numbers are different, but they are for the same documents such as birth certificates, marriage certificates? Or just invest the time to re-scan all documents to ensure there is no chance for confusion?

7. What is e-AOR?

Cheers.

If anyone may help. I have applied online after ITA and paid all the fees. Got e-AOR but still my application status is invitation received. When it will become open? Is this normal?

Thanks

5 Not sure what you mean. For example in US, FBI takes more than 2 months to send you a copy.
6 For application, apply with the scanned copies you have. But make sure you soon get the hard copy with you if needed.
7 Acknowledgement of receipt (AOR) after you apply online.

5. I mean, when in the application stage would we be prompted with medicals and police letters? After I completed my online forms, I get the checklist and the medicals and police letters are outlined in the checklist?

Next;

8. Do you mind sharing the list of documentations? Birth, Marriage, Education certificates (plus one with Canadian assessment), Work reference letters, police letters, medicals?
