Hello folks,

it's my first message on the board, but I have been lurking here for a while, gathering valuable information for our Express Entry profile. We've both been living in Canada for about 3 years and a half (Work Permit).

We've entered the pool on September 11th (I wanted to enter before the previous draw, but we were still waiting for the language test results at the time).

I haven't received the ITA yet, but that should arrive soon! (561 points).

About the draw and cut-off: it's hard to generalize, but from my experience, there are a lot of people working in Universities like me whose work permits expire in December. These people usually enter EE in September or so, and would feed the 500-599pts category (especially if applying with a partner).

I know at least 5 other couple in the city I live in who entered this draw or the previous one.

EDIT: ITA received (CEC) while submitting this post!

Whats your score bro and expectations

Im 478 but my score will start dropping in 2017 when I turn 30, I hope for an Ita before then.

If they keep issuing 1000 Itas or more per draw, i THINK scores will drop until 475 in a couple of months, and if they continue with the >1000 itas in 2017 then there's hope to all people above 460

Of course all of this is my own assumptions and expectations.

True! I believe the best way is to focus on PNP!

I think it was stupid of cic to merge pnps and EE since 2015, they intended faster processing for pnps but it resulted in slowing EE and hurting FSWs badly

Personally I'm not eligible for PNP cause mine is a regulated profession, I'm relying solely on fsw

i.e. c. 3000 piled up, many sitting on exactly 481 (max score for foreign experience+masters).
Is it a guess or a fact?

So, what could have been the reason for scores dropping to 450 not so long ago.

They wanted more FSW immigrants, and didn't have as many PNP applicants with 600 extra points. The score varies depending on how many applicants there are, and how many people they want.

Is there any trend that Work permits get expired by end of calendar year i.e around Dec or I shouldn't generalize and work permit expiry depends upon a organisation?

I believe inland friends would be able to clarify this.

Thanks All

It's an informed guess. Compiling 481 (English+masters+3years+20s) is very easy so there'll be a lot of applicants with that score. And the fact that the cut off crs score never goes down below 482 anymore is an indicator that people have piled up at 481 and there's a giant bottleneck there.

For the people who only have 400 points like me, where are their hope found?
It is cruel ranking system.

Your only hope would be PNPs, but are you sure there's no way to increase your pts?

I know it's not a lot but at least the cut off is hovering the 480 range now. It used to go as high as 500 :-X

Realistically, it might take a while for that cut off to crawl past 470 or 460 ranges...there's just so many applicants waiting in that band already. Not to mention the 450s :o

We can only hope CIC finds a way to give a fair chance to those in that range.

How much time it takes to get email for ITA after draw is completed? With reference to 21st,Sept'16 draw... Did anyone receive ITA?

How is it cruel ? Its a transparent system that tells you where you stand.

I want to earn $1 Billion from stock market. If I am not able to do it is it my limitation or the stock markets ?

Emails come in batches. Some people get theirs in 1 hours, others by the next day. All the best
