Earlier people at 480s were only 750, and now there are 1000 applicants at 491. It wouldn't shock me if there are 2k applicants sitting between 480-490.

I don't think it'll drop below 482 by the end of the year. They can keep sending 750-1000 ITAs and still hover over 482.

Dont lose you heart. 486 is still a very good score. You will surely get an ITA next draw.

Yep, wait for this Fall and tons of people will receive extra points for having Candian degrees, Canadian siblings and speaking French.

New draws will have around 2000 ITAs but cut off score will stay well above 470.

Who says that? There's no reason to assume they will issue more than 750 ITAs like they have so far. Also, definitely don't count on international students getting additional points anytime in near future.
