401k in the USA

What are you guys doing about the 401K account when moving to Canada. I know we can leave 401k as is, and the preferred option is to convert 401k to IRA. My question is.. Can we convert 401K to IRA after moving to Canada? or does this rollover need to occur while we are still in the USA.

Hi @prusa Did you find answer to this question? I also have 401k and other investment through brokerage firms in USA. Not sure what exactly are we supposed to do with those? Did you ultimately move your 401k to IRA?
