Determination — number of invitations

1. (1) For the purposes of paragraph 10.2(1)(b) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, the number of invitations that may be issued during the period beginning on June 29, 2016 and ending on June 30, 2016 is 773.

(2) Foreign nationals who, on June 29, 2016 at 12:10:42 UTC, have been assigned a total of 482 points or more under the Comprehensive Ranking System that is set out in the Ministerial Instructions Respecting the Express Entry System, as published in the Canada Gazette, Part I, on December 1, 2014 and as amended from time to time, occupy the rank required to be invited to make an application for permanent residence.

481 points is single people in their 20s, with masters, good English, no French, no Canadian experience, 3 years of foreign experience. These are all very easily attainable qualifications, so I believe at least a couple of thousands of people in the pool has 481 points at the moment.

Since they don't want to issue a lot of invitations, cut-off score keeps being above 481. In this case it's exactly 482.

Expect it to remain that way for a while.

Just got an ITA. 485 points and I'm waiting since March. The best thing I did is to take IELTS and have 21 additional points.
Serious things just started. Wish me luck !

As per the above statement, does CIC send invitations till midnight of June-30-2016 or it has already short listed the candidates with CRS score (482)?
