Ok I got what you are saying, so we have applied for the visa again. Consultant has made some changes to the application. But still not seen the SOP. To see SOP I have to travel to their office which is in Punjab and I am in Bangalore! :) So I will see the SOP for sure, hopefully soon. But application is lodged anyway, I talked to him and he assured me that he has done a good job! Its not like IRCC is doing a good job, cant say what the hell they are thinking. Kinda feel lost in the shit show.
Something is very wrong here. Don't use this consultant. There is no reason you have to travel in person to see the SOP. You should apply on your own or find a much better consultant. I would not trust someone who doesn't share information with you openly. This is how people end up with 5 year bans from Canada due to bad agents.

I agree with all of you. I know that I need to see the SOP, but this fellow is treating it like its his intellectual property. And we know that SOPs are a major part in an application and hence he is treating it like his business depends on it. So scanning and online viewing is not allowed because you might copy it!!
One more thing, remember that I am not paying him any money until I get the VISA, and looking at the effort he puts before he gets paid it seems worth the risk. I have seen so many older candidates have got visa from him.
He was recommended by other older candidates and then only I went with him. Plus if you talk to him and see his youtube videos, he is much better consultant than the one I had before. He is a PHD student himself in Canada, so he is not some shady consultants you find in India (I know this could be confirmation bias).
I get your points but guys/gals I am stuck with this profile. There are not many options for me, technical courses are not allowed. MBA I am not interested. So only left course in Management course, Project Mgmt is a broad general course which looks like a decent option for me. So Algoma Uni offers 2 years, so it all fits together.
Now, coming to GCMS notes, I have gcms notes from 1st refusal and we have seen it, it says no technical course for me.
2nd gcms notes I have applied the day I got refusal, waiting for it to arrive.
Also, guys IRCC has no pattern of approval and refusals. So how can we say it was this reason? I have seen SOPs that got approval that were terrible. Think about it, we all know how it is.
I can think of the reason for refusal this time could be switching the course from technical to non-technical. So the best approach everybody does is to address it in SOP and reapply again. Cant wait 60 days to get gcms notes.
I dont think there will be a case of 5 years ban, because there is nothing to misrepresent, everything is genuine, funds, work exp and education. But who knows what IRCC thinks, with them anything is possible. I have seen a person got approval and then denied for the same application in the same day.

But for sure, next time I am taking control and doing it myself. Hope it does not come to that.

I disagree that IRCC has no pattern of approvals and refusals. That's not how it is. There are definitely patterns which is why you've gotten the advice you've received from all of us here about what program to pursue. You've decided not to take that advice. Of course it's up to you what you do.

The risk with misrepresentation is your agent. The issue is not that "anything is possible" with IRCC. The problem is not IRCC. The problem is that unless you have a very direct hand in your application, your agent may misrepresent something in your application which could put you at risk of a misrepresentation ban. A good example is making sure all past refusals are declared in your application.

Yes there are patterns but they are not that clear when it comes to complex cases. Meaning if you follow them then this happens, because of these variations we are not sure what to do all the time. The variations are part of the system, we have to accept it.

Not really, I did consider advises here and made changes to the program choice. That initial mistake is causing these extra troubles.

Coming to the point of misrepresentation, I have personally collected and organized all the files needed and made sure they are accurate. All forms are checked for accuracy before they apply. They do mention the past refusals, provided explanations. Again, this is not some agent, as I have repeated here, he is a PHD student himself and has gotten a lot of Visas for older candidates, so how else I am supposed to filter consultants? I used Canadian RCIC consultant whom I paid upfront and still got bad advises and service from him. So I have got only this guy now. I am very much aware of the ban and get scared of it. Thats why I prepare every single file myself and organize them so that they dont miss anything. I am stuck with that one damn SOP issue. Which is the most important one and I cant see it! This is a huge risk but I need to take it because I think my file is complex and believe that he writes a good SOP considering his success rate with older candidates.

Next time I will be applying myself.

Order GCMS notes in advance, IRCC sends you all the files and forms that were submitted, they are not the basic GCMS notes. They take a little longer to arrive but you will have that secret SOP right in front of you. For any new application, you must know what you had put in previous applications since a contradiction could lead to a refusal.

I understand your position, sometimes we have to take a leap of faith, and it's not always that we can have control over what goes around. Good luck!

Going by the comments, I could make out that you are talking about the consultant - TIG (Jitendra). I am also planning to apply through him, and he suggested Project management at Algoma and MGM at RRU to me. I personally didn't like Algoma at all due to their small Brampton campus and due to the fact that most of the project management students are unable to get a slot at campus and end up taking online classes, which in my opinion is not at all worth with what they are charging. What made you choose this option?

So that you know, RRU is a pretty crappy school that doesn't have a good reputation with employers. Hopefully the agent told you this is a bottom end school when they recommended it. I personally would not spend money to go there. Your call, of course.

Yep, I dont like both either. Good universities are not an option due to my academic background is not that great, then other reason is courses are not suitable for me, mostly MBA are there and I am not interested. So Project management(still closer to IT) is best fit but its not offered by other good universities for 2 years! So kinda stuck. If you are interested in MBA then whole lot of options open up for you.
I just want to learn project management and switch my roles. This is basically an entry fee. Now you know why I choose that.
Also, cant switch college and courses now, it will be a rejection again for inconsistency.

So, finally my time has come. I got my PPR after 5 refusals, 2 years of painful waiting.
Here are the details:
I applied again with my own LOE and SOP on Feb 1st 2023.
This time it was the last application, 6th application, if rejected I was going to withdraw and try for Europe.
Actually after 5th rejection I decided to withdraw but since the SOP was written by my consultant I thought I should give a try with my own SOP.
This consultant is very famous for older candidates and has very strong track record but I thought since I have IELTS band 8, lets use that skill to write my own honest story. It worked! :)

So after the file was lodged, the file went into review on Feb 8th even before medical was updated!
This was strange flow of events, then medical was updated on Feb 9th.
Then there was no update for 3 months! It was so painful waiting for result while I was seeing everyone around me getting results within 1 month.
I had to start Europe preparation unwillingly. But it was next logical move, so started anyway. I even went and applied for PCC at the passport center so that I complete the checklist for Europe Visas, that night I got my visa for Canada.

A lot of prayers everyday have gone into this, it was truly in the hands of the Gods.

Anyway, here I am, out of the woods and on to the next challenges of migration.

I hope everyone who is waiting get the approval soon.
Make sure to add LOE if you have refusals. Explain each and every rejection they have mentioned with proper justification. This is a VERY VERY IMPORTANT DOCUMENT!

Thank you all for helping me in this journey :)

Many congratulations to you. I was following your case closely since the first application. I was in the 1-15 August 2021 applicant cohort as well, albeit in the non-SDS stream. So glad that you finally received the PPR. Kudos to your never give up attitude.
