Hi everyone,

Here's another question, my employer (Alberta Legislature) says my new position with them (Guide) is a full-time on-going position, which is 36,25 hours per week. According to Alberta Employment, the "typical number is hours", to be considered full-time employment is 37.5. So who's right? Could my application be refused for this reason, or would I have to wait longer until I could apply? (I still have a looong time to wait till I could apply).

Thank you for your help

You'd have to wait longer to apply. At 36.25hrs per week, you'd need to work for about 55 weeks(to reach 1950 hrs as a canadian graduate) or about 109 weeks(to reach 3900hrs as foreign worker).

You will need to wait a bit longer to apply, I had worked 4-5 days a week with 7 hr shifts so it took me a bit longer to apply as well

Exactly. I also work 36.25 hpw, had to wait 54 weeks before applying.
Since you are working with the gov't, there should be no problems. Good luck.

You need to be working 37.5 paid hours per week so 37.5*52 weeks = 1950 hours for the year. The hours can also be part time equivalent which is what I did

do you need to complete 1950 hours before applying for the Canadian Experience Class?
or you can apply from the time you start your work using the Post Graduate Work Permit?
Thanks!

You need to have worked 1950 hours on your post-grad permit before you can apply. Time worked on an off-campus permit does not count.

What are the requirements to pass to the immigration to prove that i worked 1950 hours? will the employer help us to provide those?

Does it say on your pay slips how many hours you worked? Otherwise you can ask the employer to give you a letter.

Read the document checklist to find out how to prove your qualifications. Yes, your employer will have to provide a Letter of Employment stating (among other things) the number of hours per week that you work. You will also have to provide tax documents (T4, Notice of Assessment). It's easier if you are salaried - those who are paid on an hourly basis have to do a little more work to track their hours.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5610E.PDF

as a post-grad, your work requirement is at least 12 months AND at least 1950 hours.
