what about CNO how do they assess the second courser?asitoja said:HI, I am a 2nd courses too, i applied in CARNA way back 2009 and it took them 6 months exactly to process my application. NOte that when i filed my application all the requirements have been submitted and received by the College within a month period.
I think assessment for both single coursers and 2nd coursers are the same, either of the two, they will still require you to take the SEC assessment coz they are very strict with their standards.
hi whats the email address of CNO?FARPADANA said:what about CNO how do they assess the second courser?
do they have SEC assessment too? or BET does the same?
@ CaribiaRN
I see, I undrestand that BET will be individualized.

Hi aspire! I was browsing the messages and I saw yours,Im just wondering what hosp sponsored you?aspire said:Fellow nurses,
It is really quick to find job if you have the license. I passed the CRNE which I took last October 6 in Winnipeg. Two days ago I received e mail from the HR of the hospital who is hiring me, that my Labor Market Opinion has been approved by HRSDC. Soon I will be filing for a working visa. My PR application seems deeply asleep. Go for that license guys!!!God Bless Us All.
This is sad because I myself am regretting because I did not pass my application last year in Manitoba and starting January 1 their fee increased from $100 something to $525...and this is a lot. We received our visa last September and I've got no choice since we are landing in Winnipeg this April I might as well start my application now so as not to waste time. Do you think they have adopted SEC now just like what other provinces are doing? I do hope other Filipino nurses who had applied in Manitoba recently would share their experiences and results of their assessments.chrisdalop said:Hi Aspire, Ia lready received last December from the CRNM to go for Competency Exam for maternal Nursing, Child Health, General Nursing and Self Assessment. Hai, may SEC na rin pala sa manitoba. Have to prepare for the assessment. Moving to Manitoba by march. Musta ka na Aspire. nasa Winnipeg ka na ba?
