hi everyone, i received an email form crnbc with the following content (share ko lang):
CRNBC Registration No: *******
Dear Applicant,
We have received your application for registration and you have been assigned the above CRNBC Registration No. Please provide your file number and the security word that you stated on your application when you contact or correspond with CRNBC.
Most Internationally Educated Nurses go through three stages once an application has been received by our office: the Review stage, the Substantially Equivalent Competency Assessment stage, and the CRNBC Assessment stage.
Below are frequently asked questions regarding these stages.
APPLICATION PROCESS FAQ’s
1.) When will my file be reviewed (Stage 1)?
An application received by CRNBC is reviewed to determine which (if any) documents are outstanding and what information (if any) needs clarifying. Once your file is reviewed, you will be sent a letter outlining what items are outstanding. **
Timeline:
You can expect to receive this letter within ten weeks of the date you receive this email.
**If the application and documentation are complete at the time of this review, your file will automatically go to stage 2.
2.) Who has to do the SEC (Stage 2)?
CRNBC must receive all documents and review an application in its entirety before making this determination.
If I am required to complete the Substantially Equivalent Competency Assessment, how and when will I be informed? If you are required to do the SEC assessment, information explaining how to schedule your assessment will be sent to you by email once all documents have arrived at CRNBC and have been reviewed. For more information about the SEC, please refer to the fact sheet at http://www.crnbc.ca/Registration/Lists/RegistrationResources/467SEC.pdf
Timeline:
If you are required to do the SEC assessment, you can expect to receive a letter inviting you to complete the SEC assessment within six weeks of CRNBC receiving all required documentation.
3.) When will my file be assessed (Stage 3)?
The assessment stage begins when CRNBC has received the results of your SEC assessment, if required, or, if you are not required to do the SEC, when your application is complete.
Once the file is assessed by a Registration Assessor, an assessment package will be sent to you outlining the requirements for obtaining practicing registration in BC. It is at this stage that you will be notified if supplementary education will be required. If no additional education is required, you will receive an exam application, and an application for provisional registration at this time.
Timeline:
You can expect to receive a CRNBC Assessment letter within six weeks of CRNBC receiving your SEC results.
These processes and timelines apply to the majority of applicants. CRNBC processes and timelines are always subject to the application being complete and the contents of the information and documentation received.
