Assuming they stick to ~ 1500 ITAs/draw, it entirely depends on the backlog whether IRCC will have 2 or 3 draws per month. If the backlog has reduced significantly in 2015 (which it should have), 2016 could well see close to 5000 ITAs/month (or 3 draws of ~ 1500 ITAs each month).Aragorn165 said:February will be an interesting month- it will confirm whether or not CIC plans on having three draws a month going forward. On my part, I think they will stick to two a month- that said, someone on this forum calculated and extrapolated trends, and projected that June will have three draws next. That sounds to me the most reasonable prediction to stick to.
Oh, definitely, a single year is a terrible sample size to draw any conclusions from- however, I think that the influx of refugee applications at the end of last year should effectively perform the same function as IRCC's backlog last year (now mostly cleared) did- in which case, the trends may reflect last year's trends a fair bit, at least trends from the back half of last year.Asivad Anac said:Assuming they stick to ~ 1500 ITAs/draw, it entirely depends on the backlog whether IRCC will have 2 or 3 draws per month. Extrapolating from 2015 is a bad idea - 2015 wasn't an ideal year for IRCC or EE.
Asivad, do you mind taking a look on this excel file: Permanent Resident Inventory. If I'm not wrong, this file represents the processing cases of PR from IRCC, as of October 2015.Asivad Anac said:Assuming they stick to ~ 1500 ITAs/draw, it entirely depends on the backlog whether IRCC will have 2 or 3 draws per month. As of October 2015, IRCC still had in its inventory:
- 13,454 applications for Skilled Workers
- 16,654 applications for PNP
- 7,877 applications for CEC
That is a huge backlog of cases for IRCC to process. Hopefully, I am wrong.
Usually the news comes around 9:30 to 10:00 PM Indian time. Still half an hour more to go!RamsayBolton said:Almost 11:00 AM in Ottawa, and no news yet. I guess we go back to 2 draws per month guys. The score is not going down sub 450 soon
