if that's the reply that they are issuing now to people who are over the 8 months and awaiting an update then it's game over. 2 years. what a joke. reading between the lines they are saying that you are wasting your time if you're a post 2008 applicant and better off re-applying under the new guidelines.

do you think pre june 2010 FSW2 people will be treated with same delaying tactics?

Firstly, before I do anything I'll wait until I get an official response from London on my file. Everyone's case is different so there's no point doing anything until you get an official communication on your own case.

I've sent a case specific query as I'm over the 8 months. If I get a reply similar to the above then I am going to re-apply/find alternative options because you might as well forget about your current application if they send you that email. Alternatively if they send something that gives the impression that my file is going somewhere then I will stick with it. However, it doesn't look promising given the fact that nothing has been happening with post 2008 applications for a while now, and it seems applicants under the new guidelines are being prioritised.

One thing I am unclear on - is it possible to leave your current application open and also re-apply under the new guidelines. In effect, have 2 applications on the go under different guidelines?

yes, you're pre-june. at the moment we don't know how long it's going to take, i haven't seen any other mails with the reply above talking about a 2 year wait. I've also sent a case specific query so I'm waiting to hear what they get back with. One thing's for sure, it's not going to move quickly, at this rate if it's resolved in 2011 i'd be surprised.

Hi,

I'm also in the same position, I have emailed them twice now and still no response.

They should not be annoyed by people contacting them cause at the end of the day that was what was on the letter.......if no contact after 8 months then we can contact them.

So much for the 13 Month process!!!!!

Good luck all.

Morning

They have to assess your app before issuing Medical Request, you file is in a queue of cases or simply its at 2nd Stage of VO

1) Doc received qualitative check if OK - AOR issued if not send app back
2) if AOR issued file goes in a Queue with a BFD, on the BFD two chances case might get another BFD without looking at the file or processed in which case Med Request come, if given another BFD then same two things can happen new BFD or asses case

your file is currently at 2
