I'm worry bout the revolutions/turmoil/protest happenings in the middle east. Like what is happening in Libya, now in KSA, Baharain, oman and others. This somewhat affect the economy/banking of the country or the nearby countries.
I'm here in Dubai, I can't see any threat of having a revolution or something here, my concern is about the conversion of my AED currency to a Dollar if worst thing happen to our nearby countries...
Anyway It's just a piece of advice for my fellow workers here in the middle east. It is better to be prepare than end up crying...

hi guys,,

I READ A THREAD FOR GCMS (THE NEW SYSTEM THAT WILL BE IMPLEMENTED) details hereunder from NECTAR

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/global-case-management-systems-gcms-t60753.0.html

Breaking News !

Dear all,

Instead of CAIPS CIC would put into practice 'Global Case Management System' by April 2011. But its full implementation entirely depends on individual CHC's existing workload/backlog. The major benefit of GCMS is that it would retain more detailed information on selection of PR applicants till the final decision stage rather than the old CAIPS which only shows points for age and the total marks obtained if the interview has been waived.

This new GCMS would also assist immigration officers in further request for additional documents, cost recovery managemnt and to deter fraud in supporting documents submitted in support of permanent residence in Canada applications.

Furthermore; the SAP permanent residence in Canada applications from November 2007-February 2008 and the post June 26, 2010 permanent residence in Canada applications will be processed under new GCMS at CHC London.

Hi Guys

The GCMS is just a upgradation of the old CAIPS system. It makes no big difference for the applicants like us. but helps the CHC and VO by helping with holding more details and info. In future whn u apply for the File status it wil be easy to understand thn reading CAIPS notes. which has many abbrevations. but this system migration to new is delaying all the jobs in CHC's. and as a result we see errors like address bar removed from ecase. now the post june 2010 and nov 2007-Feb 2008 applicants will get New file numbers under the new GCMS.

Hope all wil be in track soon

Good luck to alllll

Many thanx for the clarification Biju..... 8) :)

Dear all,

I hope all of you are doing very well.

I always wish to disseminate good information to ease you guys.

Currently fast track FSW post February 2008 applications are on the highest priority at CHC London but from April 2011 London based SAP FSW applications submitted until August 2007 will also go along and will be finalsed in 47-48 months at CHC London. The processing time at CHC London for SAP FSW applications will be 47 months approximately by July 2011.

By October 2011, CHC London will clear its SAP FSW inventory of applications submitted until October 2007.

The SAP FSW applications who haven't got supporting documents update instructions (October 2007 to February 2008) are still on hold until further instructions given by the Canadian Parliament. Canadian Parliament may instruct CIC any time after passing the bill of proposed amendments in the selection criteria of FSW category.

The straight forward SAP Ottawa Processing Unit applications will have to meet the lowest 42 months FSW processing times.

CHC London FSW post June 26, 2010 applications will be processed on the highest priority from October 2011 onwards.

I hope this information is of assistance to you.
