Hi,

How can I know if my DD was encashed or not. I have applied through a lawyer and I do not have any information on my application. My lawyer told me that my application has been applied on Nov-07-2014 for NOC 2241, however we have not heard anything on my application yet.

Can someone guide me on the process ?

You can call the bank to check if your DD has been encashed if it is sent from your account. If it was sent by your lawyer, there might be many other applicants like you who have applied through him, so he wouldnt be able to tell if your particular DD has been encashed!

You might receive a PER in a couple of weeks.

Lol that's something beyond my expertise. But am hoping others and myself have received PERs close to 90 days and a little after that. Going by the trend I said in a couple of weeks you'd get yours!

I have never longed for anything in my life, it was such a relief to see the e-mail from CIO.
My DD was encashed on 31st december and I had no clue until I read the PER email.
Anyway it is here finally and we are elated and hoping the rest of it goes well
If you notice it took 90 days to receive PER from the day my app reached CIO.

Good luck to the rest of the guys anticipating a PER.

I checked with my lawyer and my application sent date was 06-Nov-2014 and was received by CIO office on 13-Nov-2014. We have not heard anything so far, neither my lawyer has heard anything yet.

When is the earliest I can expect to hear anything. I also believe that DD will also get charged even if it is NER. When is NER and PER received normally. Also, whether it is NER or PER, will I receive the email directly or will my lawyer get the email ?

Would appreciate if someone can clarify on this.

I wish there is really a light at the end of the tunnel !

Dear Chirag

It is better to check with the bank about DD, if the DD has been en-cashed then your App is in Process. But some times the bank hardly cooperate for such matters, in that case you have to wait for PER/NER.

PER is received in 90-95 day (Approx 3 months) after the App received by CIO office. In your case you need to wait till Mid of February.

Email will be sent to that address that is mentioned in Generic Application form "contact information section".

I had applied for 2241 on July 9th.
Just sent my medicals last week to NDVO, awaiting 3rd line update.
