Hi. I was wondering when we received pre arrival and eligibility our dependent will receive separate letters or not? My partner in Canada and not refugee. We’ve applied together for pr.
As of my case, Eligibility letter to my spouse is mentioned with that of mine while pre arrivals letters emailed separately.

Hi all, am refugee from Somalia and live now in Egypt. See below my question: 1- Received my application on Jun 5 2023. 2- I received knowledgement on March 2024 Application completed and received my G. 3- Permanent Residence Application Status ( In Process) until today May 27 2024. My question is why they take too much time? When am gonna receive the approval ? After approval, what is the next step? What is the dateline PSR from Egypt?
Where to contact to check the application? Can I go directly or contact by email the Canadian embassy in Cairo?

Your application for permanent residence is now ready for finalization pending the

confirmation of your permanent residence status

You’ll complete this process through the Permanent Resident Portal (PR Confirmation).

Please provide the requested information within 7 calendar days to ensure there are no undue delays.

They are processing 2022 applications and hopefully they might reach yours. Otherwise google contact information online. Also, you need an appointment before appearing at any consulate/embassy in general .

Hi Everyone,

I'm a protected person and have submitted for PR for my wife ( overseas ) and I through a lawyer.
I submitted it on March 30, 2023, online, I received an AOR on September 15, and another AOR for my wife on September 26, and no more updates since then.

I have 3 questions and would appreciate it if anyone could help me with them.

1. Does anyone know if I link my application to IRCC, my lawyer will lose access to my application or not? I have no access to check my application, The Online service portal doesn't show anything with my credentials and it's frustrating. Also, Is there any way to make the process faster? like webform, MP, etc?

2. my work permit is going to expire in September, so do I need to extend it, or just because I'm in the PR process, am I considered a PR person now and don't need an extension? If so, would you please send me a link on how to do it?

3. I have a travel document and would travel every six months to a third country to visit my wife. I always struggle with finding a country that I can visit with RTD. so, wondering if there is an accurate list of countries that we can visit with RTD without a visa or with an easy process for a visa
1. Yes you can link your application to your IRCC account online and this will not prevent the lawyer from working on it, it will help you to follow up on updates on your application from your own side. MP and web form don’t actually help to make the process faster. Web form will also give you some sort of update, deplaning on the info you requested for while sending the web form.

2. You need to apply to extend your work permit, you’re not considered a PR until your PR application have been processed, confirmed and have your PR card. So make sure you apply to extend your work permit.

3. There are couple of countries that you do not need a visa and PR Card to travel to if you want to see your wife. Will list some below. Good luck.

A. Italy
B. Germany
C. Croatia
D. Hungary
E. Slovakia
F. Slovenia
G. Cuba
H. Dominican Republic
