I have linked about 3 applications in the past. IRCC need to officially begin processing an application before one can link it. And in order for that to happen, an AOR is required. How else will IRCC begin processing your application without them acknowledging receipt of your application through an AOR.

That means they already processed it, but haven't sent AoR. I have my file number now in IRCC account without using it to link

I personally know 3-4 people who didn't get AOR but linked their apps.

For goodness sake, why cant these "people" who claim to have linked their applications or received some form of AOR from IRCC provide proof. Enough of "I heard" or I know of" we want to see proof, its called fact checking.

By the date you lodge your application you should have 1560 hrs.

Does the application show in GC Key after you linked? Mind sharing a screenshot?

Using place of birth can have typos, that's why I suggest using passport details.
