The emails should contain directions for you to follow. Generally, after you get the initial PR email and respond to the several easy questions confirming that you are in Canada, etc., they will then send your PR portal credentials (a portal access & temporary password). Again, just follow the instructions. Then you will be asked to upload your digital photo and confirm your Canadian address in the portal, it could take 2 weeks or a little longer to get the ECOPR email/document (which gives you full permanent residence but cannot be used to travel). It could then be another 2-6 weeks before you receive your PR Card in the mail. Best wishes.Hi everyone, I got my golden email today, could anyone explain how is the process to give confirmation of my status in Canada through the portal?

It's usually pretty fast, a day or two, but some have taken a week or more.thank you for your reply CherAmie, do you know how long does it take after replying the email to get credentials for the portal?
so I just reply to the same email with the quetions labeled at the pdf, no head lines or anything else, is that ok?It's usually pretty fast, a day or two, but some have taken a week or more.
Yes. And if you have dependents or a spouse, also answer the same questions again for each one of them. It can all be done in the same one reply email. And congratulations!so I just reply to the same email with the quetions labeled at the pdf, no head lines or anything else, is that ok?

Thank you for your time even after your PR. You have been a great help for many people. Thanks from everyone.HELLO EVERYONE STILL WAITING ...
Like many others, I'm going to be 'retiring' from this forum soon -- I've been repeating most answers now for awhile so I wanted to draw your attention again to the SEARCH FUNCTION at the top of this page (the magnifying glass in the blue box).
You can narrow down your search for suggestions or answers by entering a few key words and entering the name of a MEMBER who you think might be a reliable source, and/or you can narrow your search to THIS THREAD, THIS FORUM, etc.
You can also use the ADVANCED SEARCH FUNCTION to narrow down DATES and enter more than one member as possible sources for answers.
As fewer people visit this thread, you may have to rely more on historical answers.
Play with it and see if it works for you. Best wishes!
Congrats, yes you need to.after getting the PR Confirmation Portal email, do I need to reply to the email, or to make an account in the portal?
There’s a temp policy in place to exempt people with medicals less than 5 years old from needing new medicals. Yours and mine were more than 5 years old so we got requests for new medicals. Mine was requested last May. Once you complete the medical, it could take several weeks for the medical to be reviewed & passed on your account.Hi, is it usual to get a medical request? I have applied under essential non-healthcare and at the time of applying, I have uploaded my old IME document from 2016. Please let me know if anyone got it too and what was the next update you received after getting the exam done.
My timeline so far
Biometric request - July 18, 2022
Application linked - July 19, 2022
Biometric submitted - July 19, 2022
AOR - July 19, 2022
Medical Request - May 24, 2023
Any reply on this post will be highly appreciated.
Thank You
