According to info released on Nov 4, 2022, IRCC had 47,426 TR to PR applications still left in inventory yet to be processed as of Oct 3, 2022.

According to IRCCs forecast/plan update
out on Nov 1, 2022, they ‘target’ processing the last 25,000 TR to PR’s in 2023 with a possible low of 19,500 or high of 32,750. Using these low & high numbers, and assuming that the numbers of applications being processed didn’t change too dramatically between Oct 3 and Nov 1, this implies that IRCC plans to process between 14,676 and 27,926 applications in the remainder of this year, 2022.
...

So, keep the timelines coming — hope there are many of you in the roughly 14,500 to 28,000 to processed by year-end 2022 (from Oct 3 to Dec 31). I suspect I’ll be in the 2023 group but I can always dream. Best wishes!
I was looking for this info for the past few days. Thanks for posting it.
I have seen the link where its mentioned:
Tr to Pr (remaining as of Oct 2022) : 47,426 are left as of Oct 2022. Do you have the link to this info directly from the government website ? I just want to corelate the data from the news link with the govt website.

Even if we assume this link numbers to be true. I had recently read on a government website (as update with Shawn Fraser address/update in Nov), that the Tr to Pr had 106,000 admissions. That 24,000 of these were processed in 2021 and 18,000 were processed uptil March of 2022. They were expecting 32,000 to be processed in 2023. That leaves projected almost 50,000 admission to be processsed till end of 2022. 18000 of these, the site claimed, were processed till March 2022, leaving 32,000 till remaining end of 2022.

Since the above news item you linked mentions 47, 426 left as of Oct 2022, that means (after taking out 32,000 for 2023), about 15,426 till Dec. I hardly saw any one posting about PR approval emails in October (atleast not any in the last few weeks). So, i believe, this 15,426 will be in the next 6-7 weeks (taking out long weekend and christmas breaks). This appears to be too big a task, or too great an ordeal, for IRCC's overworked agents, who only processed 16574 applications from March of this year till October. Thats an average processing of 2300+ Tr to Pr applications per month (for this year since March till Oct).

How will they manage suddenly to process the same number of admissions (15426) in the next 6 weeks, considering they took 7 months to process a comparable number of 16574 applications ? That's like averaging 1000+ applications a week for the next 7 week till Christmas!!

I beleive either the numbers aren't accurate or they are unrealistic. It seems more then 32,000 would be pushed till 2023, with the possibility (small) that 5000-10,000 admissions may be pushed into early 2024.

Anyway, thanks again for posting. It alleviates some concerns, while raising others. :)

I have been unable to find an Oct 3, 2022, data set on IRCC’s site however it appears that the information quoted in the article was emailed to Immigration.ca in response to a request for information (which this organization and others like it periodically do). IRCC spokesperson Isabelle Dubois emailed the response to Immigration.ca. The chart at the end of the article is in the exact format of IRCC’s other reports.

Hi everyone! I got my AOR in March 2022 and I received a request letter to provide : “
Schedule A: A separate and newly completed Schedule A Background Declaration (IMM
5669) form bearing an original signature with updated personal, address and travel history since the age of 18 with no gaps in addresses or activities.”
Is this a good sign? Those this mean that my application is moving?

Mostly they work faster at the end of year, I remember I got my request letter and AOR from December 2021 to January. I hope they do the same this year.

Yes, there was a lot of work done at this time period last year. I think they work in some sort of rotating schedule between big programs.

This way they can give the appearance that all the programs are moving forward instead of focusing on just 1 and leaving all the others behind.

I am genuinely on the verge of offing myself if they push the application to 2024.

background check is the longest part of the application, but it might be different for a Work Visa, however in my case they have been processing my criminality for the past 7 months.

Hey all.
I have a question. Applied for my TR to PR June 2021.

My work visa ran out Feb 2022. I was back in Australia for a family emergency so didn't get the implied status.
I am here on a visitor visa awaiting PR as I was told I have to be in the country to accept PR (obs still waiting).
I have spoken to two immigration consultants about getting a work status but no answers.

I read here some of you mention one that you can get that goes until Dec 2024. This was never mentioned to me.
Can anyone please help and point me in the right direction to apply for this? Or if you know I can?

Thank you!

The details of the OWP for TR to PR Pathway are here:

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/tr-pr-pathway/open-work-permit.html

Read them verify carefully a few times because you have to follow a few unique (not very obvious) application instructions specifically for this pathway. If you want the full time period available to Dec 31, 2024, make sure your Passport doesn't expire (and possibly your Biometrics) before Dec 31, 2024, as this will limit the expiry date they can provide. Best wishes.
