Woke up to DM on both sides on ecas! However, if I click on the DMs the statuses are the same as before, except one of them now says that they started processing the application on Nov. 27th

It's normal, mine is the same.

EDIT: I don't have any new processing dates (sponsor's side is still on the one where they say they started processing the app in March), just the last note on mine says they sent me a letter and to be mindful of the postal strikes.

AOR received: March 6th, 2018
OWP approved: May 18th, 2018
Medical request received: N/A (did it upfront)
Medical done: July 13th, 2018
Medical Passed: August 8th, 2018
Eligibility review started: November 27th, 2018
Landing interview scheduled: Nov 28th, 2018 (for Dec 12th, 2018)

It's not uncommon, it simply means that something in the background check for the PA s not yet finalized yet to get to AIP or DM on PA side.
We are (Feb 2 applicants) is in the same situation : DM on sponsor side on Nov. 23rd and SA email on Nov. 26th

You're not required to update them about pregnancy. You have to update them once the baby is born though (change in family).
