When CIC returned our application, I lost my implied status but I still have a couple of weeks left of my 90-day restoration period. What we did is, after consulting here, we resent our application with OWP plus restoration. My OWP was approved last Friday. I received it in the mail yesterday and there's a note at the end that my status has been restored. I was told that I'm not the only who has been successful in doing this. Sooo, it may work out for you, too.Hi there,
My partner (Canadian) and I (Australian) applied for common law sponsorship February 6th.
We have AOR from March 5th and just got the request for Shedule A and police checks March 23rd.
We did apply for an OWP with the PR application but I was in a restoration period when we applied which I guess isn't technically legal status. Has anyone seen anything similar and have any idea if the OWP will be approved? My lawyer says its unlikely but im hoping for good news. I'm so bored.
Thanks for your help! Unfortunately my 90 days is already up, but fingers crossed they will be kindWhen CIC returned our application, I lost my implied status but I still have a couple of weeks left of my 90-day restoration period. There was a post recently in the 2017 inland thread that someone's OWP was approved even when out of status. Although, didn't specify if restoration was included. Thanks for your help! Unfortunately my 90 days is already up, but fingers crossed they will be kind
Can we use this even if we are using a representative/lawyer?Here it is
https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/introduction.do?app=ecas
You can select Client ID from drop down menu and type the sponsor id and then you can check the status. And that is really fast for a january 2018 applicant to receive the sponsor approval so quickly.

Thank you for your reply.Yes you can as long as you know your client id number.
Any news in regard to your OWP?My OWP status on cic just changed to updated and under the review of eligibility it says "We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements."! Super excited
Is this your OWP application? Because there are a lot of people who have the same thing, including myself. It's always 7 days prior to the actual date. I wouldn't worry about it because most of us got our OWP approved already.Hello everyone,
For some reason, my Client Application Status shows that my application was received on "December 28, 2017". However, CIC received my application on January 4, 2018. Has anyone experienced something like this? Does anyone have an explanation for this?
