I think the biggest problem is that yes we get it the processing time is 19 months (originally it was 15 months), so we should expect anything and in worse case the full 19 months. But seeing so many applicants from not just one, but 2,3,4,5,6 months after our ARs getting PPRs already show that they could have been done with ours a long time ago. That’s why even though we are still under processing time, it’s extremely unfair what they are doing with Jan applicants.

They should be more conscious about the impact this whole process brings to people. These are people’s lives they are dealing with.

I remember seeing in the January 2017 thread (yes coincidentally Jan 2017 also struggled a lot, hopefully Jan 2019 don’t go through the same and if I had to advise anyone in the future, do not apply in January, feels like a cursed month) and this guy was an inland applicant from Jan 2017, his application took 24 or so months to be approved, no reason whatsoever. He said he was so relieved finally but at the same time he could never forgive CIC agents for how much grief and suffering they brought him and his family during all that unnecessary long wait.

Very true... The inconsistency can only be explained by ignorance of Jan applicants

I know it feels so frustrating and unfair but they are giving PPR to Jan applicants now :) I am Jan 12 applicant and got PPR 3 days ago. Up until then I had lost all hope and thought we had been forgotten. I bet that in the first few weeks of July most Dec/Jan applicants will have good news. Stay strong and have a great Canada Day weekend everyone :) relax and enjoy

At least 15 people (from the forum) who applied on January 2018 received PPR including me in the past 2 weeks. Again every case was different. I still remember there were 2 people (2018 Jan applicant, paper based ) received PPR last year on October ( 10 months to get PPR).

Other people ( April - July 2018) get PPR while there are some Jan 2018 people waiting. It only shows how different each case is. Some people may have complicated travel history. Or some people may assume they have simple travel history, while the officer does not think so. Family background, previous employment experiences, military experiences, education and etc. There are so many things play together.

I have been following many different threads. The PPR will come when it should come. Constant calling, ordering notes, contacting local MP and checking application status do not have any impacts on processing time. And these actions likely cause much anxiety and stress.

Applicants were asked to provide details for the past 10 years or since 18 years. We should feel gald that it did not take 10 years to process background and secuirty. If you constantly compare your processing time with people who applied after you and who received PPR earlier than you, you will stuck and remain depressed. It is unnecessary to add additional and anxiety to yourself.

Importantly, PPR may come anytime from now. And to be honest, after get PPR, there will be other things to worry about such as "when will I receive COPR?" , " when my tracking number of return envelop can be activated?" And so on.
Life is full of ups and downs, goals and destinations.

Go outside. Stay away from phone, laptop and electronic devices. If you live in greater Vancouver in BC, go to Stanley Park, Coal Harbor, Cresent beach, White Rock or Stevenson for Ocean view. Go to Deep Cove for lake view. Go to West and north Vancouver for mountain view. Go to Mission's Westminster Abbey for river view.

Relax and enjoy your life!

I remember one year ago when we were all happy and hopeful when we got our MRs, I would never have imagined it would be such a struggle.

We were so naive lol

When did you get the appointment bro

Nope it’s medical expired and they will decide to extend or redo the medical and will let you know if extended.

Hi,

I had the similar status. Medicals went from 'Passed' to 'Do not require'. Later in couple of weeks it came back to 'Passed'. Looks like has been extended. Does this extension means anything from the PPR front? My application is with Sydney, NS - CIO for the past 8 months. Please shed some light if you're aware of such situations.

Hey guys why some people are getting extra medical request after they do their medical exam ;)

Only when the medicals expire, they’ll get redo request or can get extended as well (need blessings from officer)
No bro what I mean is that after people get medical request they do their exam right. But after couple of days cic will request for more testes
