This is the unfortunate, unfair truth.
It doesn’t matter if CIC agents made the mistake of asking for early medicals or just didn’t manage their time properly, didn’t do the fair thing to process first come first serve... it’s their mistake but unfortunately we pay for it.

well, due to imprecise wording I lost my work permit while applying for a new one. didn't attach my LMIA number and got rejected. wasn't my fault at all, but I had to come to terms with the way they work. you can use their options but you cannot fight against them openly as they'll always prove you're wrong

Exactly there’s unfortunately no resource to fix a mistake from their part, other then waiting or paying fees again. We are under processing time and it’s their right to take all full 19 months if they want to. The only problem I have is because I’ve seen people waiting more than 19 months, and they still answer irresponsibly to their inquiries.

Yes this is what happened to most of us and that’s why we are talking about medical extension.
When your medical expires it goes to “you do not need medicals” on your GC Key, and then you have to wait for an extension (it will show then on your GCKey your original pass date but extended another year) or a remedical.

The problem we are having right now it’s that we got medicals expired weeks ago and we are waiting for whatever reason for them to go on with our applications .
Does it says we are reviewing your medical results or you don’t need medical exam????

You do not need medical exam.. That's what it says after expiry of medical
As mine expired on 18 but it’s saying we are reviewing your medical results ;) something different
