I called in today and they were likr still decision has not been made yet and ptoceasing time is 19 months so still 7 months to go......do they hold file for this long even after everything is done

I wish I had an idea . According to present trend, we can expect medical request in jul-aug. some march 2018 applicants getting PPR already

Just want to share some of my ideas:

If your medical shows 'you don't need a medical exam', that means your medical expires and you are waiting for the officer to extend it.
If your medical shows 'you passed the medical exam in xx month, xx day, 2019', that means your medical is extended and all you need is the final review from the officer.
Even your security check is not started, but if you are in Canada as 'in-land' PR applicant, your security might be finished within a day or so.

Of course, all these are my guesses but seem pretty reasonable explanation. So Jan applicant, that email is just at the corner now.

How long do final verification take...i completed all checks last week monday and i called in today and they told me still waiting on decision ...processing time is 19 months so w8 patiently.....will they take entire time even if everything is passed

My medical was extended on may 8, 2019. Three agents confirmed it. But I still have in my CIC account, "you passed your medical on June 8 2018"

I was thinking the same. Dec, 2017 applicant and got GU on same date as you... still says you don't need a medical.....

Probably we should apply for jobs there and see how they work, really messed up system
