2018 January applicants for PR (paper-based)

Just ask them one thing.. Why the heck are they giving ppr to people months ahead of us.. And do they even intend to give us ppr

Ok you guys need to relax, You’re still under the normal processing time, i’m also a Jan applicant, frustrated to the core, but can’t you see calling them won’t help your process at all? Stop bugging them and let them do their processing. When you applied the processing time was 19 months, when may and feb people appliedc it was 15-19 months, just relax, noone is asking to re-do medicals or anything unless CIC notifies you, just calling them and bugging them is only prolonging it, if it’s more than 19months then yeah calling them makes sense, but otherwise just wait, and it will come through, you’ve waited THAT long, 1-2 months more shouldn’t be fatal.

See, that’s not for you to worry, how they will deal with dec applicants etc etc is their own thing, right now all you should know is that they are doing nothing wrong, just because they’re taking a bit long doesn’t mean it’s messed up, everyone’s case is completely different, you can’t generalize, there’s probably people who are waiting since earlier than you, You’re not in it alone, just know that all these things are processed in batches, Jan people will all be processed in one batch and it’ll be soon, just hang in there

Just got what I believe is a Ghost update. When I logged in to my cic account, it says account is updated. After I logged in and went back to my home screen, it says "Submitted"

Congrats to everyone who got PR. But It makes no sense . It might be right that for april, may , june and July applicant processing time is 15 to 19 months. But people are getting PR in a year.

Exactly.. they should get ppr in 15-19 months timeline.. and the are getting ppr in their 12th or 13th month.. and here we are in our 17th month..

You are unlucky that your medical was done in 2018... Everyone who had their medical done in 2018 are getting no updates.. including me..
