How do you know when there is a ghost update ? Do u check cic account every now n then or get an email ?

How do know when there is a ghost update ?

When you login to mycic account where it says submitted it will say Updated/ submitted
And might trigger an email that you cic account is updated. But when you login you cant see any changes. I think thats a ghost update.

And don’t get any letter
Even some people don’t get prearrival letter..is that true ?

No , dont worry there is a lots of similar cases they get medical and after 20 days ppr and others with early medicals can have ppr after 1 year or more from medical , im march 2018 AR and nothing till now

You will need to regularly check your mycic to make sure you won't miss an update.

Here is my timeline.

Single Applicant

App received: Feb 23, 2018
AOR: Mar 17
Medical request: Dec 18
Pre-arrival Letter: Dec 19
Medical done: Jan 7, 2019
Medical passed: Jan 16

I called IRCC call centre this morning and heard my details.

My file is in Sydney
Eligibility: complete
Criminality: complete
Security: Not started

I hope security check will be done soon, and processing time is faster than average..

Finally I got PR yesterday!!

Apr 17: GU, DM, PPR, sent passport copy
Apr 23: Delivered to CPC Ottawa
Apr 27: Approved on GCKey
Apr 29: Return tracker activated
May 1: Received CoPR
May 4: Landed at Skagway, AK/ Fraser, BC border

A border immigration officer asked me some simple questions.
1. Did you change marital status after receiving CoPR?
2. Do you have any conviction after receiving CoPR?
3. Do you have any other dependents other than your application?
4. How much total money do you have?

1-3: I wrote "No" and my initials on CoPR, 4: I answered verbally, and wrote my signature at the bottom, then my application was granted.
He said "Congratulations!!" and shook hands!
