Hi zahadum, I'm wondering how many of Jan/Feb/March 2018 Inland applicants are still waiting for MR and pre-arrival email? I'm getting stressed out because I haven't received any updates after AOR...

same here. quiet since march. no MR no ADR or anything. after looking at past 2 years during this time it starts 2nd week of january. you got nothing i assume you provided everything. so we gotta.sit tight and wait. they mostly.ask ADR in oct nov dec.

Thanks for your reply jas_dhillon90! O man, the silence from CIC is making me so anxious and stressed out... Are you inland as well? Do you know your file location? When do you think will we all start to receive the MR? Maybe 1 year after AOR?

can you please tell me the difference between background check and security check?

Background check consist of two parts
1. Background -: adress, job, criminality n stuff ...basically anything that they can retrieve from local rcmp
2. Security -: main step of background check and is retrieved from interpol n third party agencies

I also have not received the pre-arrival letter as yet. MR was done during work permit that is valid for next couple more months.
Post AOR waiting for the next correspondence as well,

Hi! I had approval from AINP and my permanent residence application paper based are ready to submit. Before i submit, did the employment certificate and School certificate need to attached as well same in AINP application?

in my friends case,technicaly yes aftr 1 yr from aor coz of current trend. thr only difference is that last year they startd issuing MRs of jan 2016 aaplicants in jan 2017 but this time in jan 2019 they will be issuing MRs of march 2018 not jan 2018 coz they are done. we might be a bit advance hopefully. i am a march applicant but march 2019 is not faraway anymore. gotta be patient

How to link without AOR number?

You will know the received date if you send by courier with tracking number. If you didn't, you will only know it after AOR.

i wonder why the processing time on website increased from 14 months to 19 like @jas_dhillon90 mentioned they were faster in issuing medicals this year than past years any thoughts about that?

they are only fast for about 2 months in issuing MRs and the good news is that for PPRs they are in july already. so we are around 8 months behind on PPRs. it could be faster because they cleared a lot of backlog. they got more quota at the same time that increased the backlog. in 2016 it was 16 months and MR in 6 months. after that liberals increased quota before clearing the ongoing applications. hence more backlog. hopw they are trying to pick up.
