After my third attempt I decided to opt for an EOR as I only need .5 more in writing to attain north of 450 CRS points.

1st attempt: L-7.5, R-8, W-7.5, S-7
2nd attempt: L-8, R-7.5, W-6, S-9
3rd attempt: L-8.0, R-9, W-6.5, S-8.5

I submitted my EOR on July 20th and I am currently still waiting on the results.

I developed this thread to capture the success rate of people who went for an EOR in 2017.

Please share your experience. Thanks

I got my EOR results on October 11th. They bumped my writing up to 7 which increased my CRS score to 439. I updated my profile and received an invite on October 18th.

What has your experience been like?

Appeared for IELTS July: Score: LRWS- 9/9/6.5/8
Applied for EoR : Received revised transcript in one week with following: LWRS: 9/9/7.5/8

My brother appeared in August, his writing score was also 6.5. He went for EoR and his score came back in two weeks and writing score had changed to 7.

Congratulations to you and your brother!! The timeline is quite alarming... in 2 weeks! Which country did you write? Planning to go for EOR but learnt it takes between 6 to 12 weeks....

Thanks. It sure did take a long time. I was planning on retaking the exam had the results not come in when they did. I did mine at the British Council in Qatar. I read instances where some people got back their results within a week.

Took the IELTS on September 30th, requested EOR on October 27th and got back the results yesterday with an increase in the Writing from 6.5 to 7.5. This has boosted my score and hopes from 388 to 435.

Seeing as how there has been a lot of recent sucess on EOR, i highly recommend it, if you truly feel you did better and the gap is within 1 point.

Good luck to everyone.
