Hi every one
I have a question about UCI -client ID, is there such a number for sitizens or is it not applicable for sitizens?

Hi All,

I got the invitation to apply for PR for my parents. I am in the process of submitting the documents for my parents. I have three queries. Could you please suggest ?

[a] Police clearance certificate - Do we need to submit these along with the application ? My parents were in us and in Canada for less than 6 months. Do we need to get police clearance from these two countries as well ? or I just need to provide police clearance certificate from India ?
My parents do not have marriage certificate - what are the alternatives ?
[c] Do we need to do the medicals with the application similar to Express entry ?

What are the documents (from parents) that we need to submit, apart from application forms ?

Thanks in Advance.

UCI is applicable to any person who previously had been issued Canadian PR or any type of Canadian VISA.

So if you are a citizen and sponsoring your parents following will be the options.

1) You will have UCI if you became PR and then Citizen. Check your COPR ( landing Paper ) or PR visa in old passport for UCI.
2) You won't have UCI , if you are a citizen by birth. Leave it blank in the form.
3) Your parents will have UCI if they have ever been issued Canadian Visa. Check their VISA sticker in passport for UCI.
4) Your parents wont have UCI if they have never applied for any Canadian visa. Leave it blank in the form.

Question #2 is the most important, can anyone please advise. Thanks.

i have all other copies of documents notarized. do i need to get copy of my PR card notarized as well?

Yes.

It's not Notarized. It's certified true copies. Notarized is a different thing.
Certified true copies is what they are asking for.

HI Everyone,

I have a question re: background declaration form. if parents are retired and they've been traveling here and there in the past 7 yrs or so, nothing long term - do i need to break it down and supply the information on top of their employment history?

hi. i have the same question and on the latest IMM1344e version 06/2017, CIC has removed the option of 'grandchild' and added 'grandparent'.

in this case, i'm starting to believe that the correct answer will be "parent".

please advise. thanks.

This is PGP application, Parent and Grand Parents.
Means the sponsor will have only two choices, Parent or Grand Parent.
So use Parent.

My Logic is : The answer will not be child or grand child because this application and whole program is not for sponsoring children.

Received email with file number and sponsorship approval. File transferred to CPP Ottawa for processing.

It is "child" unfortunately. The form is for applying for their immigrantion, so your parents will fill this form, the relationship for you to them is "child".

i must be over analyzing the forms and required information - for the financial evaluation for pgp sponsorship form - there is nothing there where you will put the name of your current undertaking, correct, i.e. question 3A?
