hello guys. i'm in process of preparing my application to sponsor my parents.

1. where to mail the application? PO box address mentioned in the email or is there any other address? i plan to use canada post xpresspost with signature required.

2. i have all other copies of documents notarized. do i need to get copy of my PR card notarized as well?

3. do we need to send photos for both parents? or just the principal applicant, which is my father. i was thinking of sending both's.

Hi mufarina, I would like to correct my previous reply about this question. After some more verification, I agree that the relationship should be "Child" if you are sponsoring your parents and"grand child" for your grand parents.

I came to this conclusion as I noticed in the drop down there are only option of child and grand child. For the confusing case of confusing reply as parent, there has to be grand parent option as well. But its not there. So I corrected my previous understanding about the question and believe that "Child" is the correct answer. Sorry for confusion there.

hi. i have the same question and on the latest IMM1344e version 06/2017, CIC has removed the option of 'grandchild' and added 'grandparent'.

in this case, i'm starting to believe that the correct answer will be "parent".

Its been 2 weeks plus that I submitted the PGP 2017 but have not received any correspondence from them. Tried searching case status using UCI of principal applicant but it returns nothing. Is there a cause to worry?
