Heard back on the ticket I opened. Card was approved and mailed to local office. I have to do in-person pick-up, same as last time.

Guess they must like me! Now just waiting on the note for when my appt. is.

Can you please share some information on how to open a ticket online? May be a link as well. Thanks in advance..

Hi - "opening a ticket" was just my shorthand for filling in an IRCC Webform request. As my case was outside the processing time + 6 weeks from when it was logged as received I tried sending a "case specific" Webform request.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/contacts/web-form.asp

They responded in a few days (maybe a week?) via email with info I needed.

Hope this helps,

JS

You are welcome.

Also, doesn't seem any issue in sending one early. Seems they just ignore it if they think it's too soon, so send one, if you don't hear in a week or so, try again. And, having dealt with the Can Immigration for 20+ years now, they sometimes are more helpful than the guidelines say they will be so sometimes early inquiries will be fruitful. It's hit or miss. Most of them want to help if they can, especially if you are on the up and up.

They reduced processing times for PR Card renewals to 45 days.

At last I got it today in my mail box ;D :D

I need to just post my PR card renewal issues

I landed in Canada in 2011 and stayed just 16 days. I went back to the Middle East to wind up and came back in July 2012. After that I was out of Canada for just 3 months in total. My PR card expires around Jan 2017.
Since anyone can put in their PR card renewal 9 months before expiry I applied for renewal in May 2016 and was received at their end on 24 May. They started processing in July 2016.
On 25 Aug I got an email that my photos were not compliant and I need to send a new set of photos by mail to their P.O. BOX 9000 in Nova scotia.
I send the new ones on 2nd Sept by Canada post and tracking showed received . After waiting for a month I called the IRCC call center and was informed that the photos are still not received and the agent send me an email that I should now send to 42 Dorchester street new ones within 180 days or I will have to start the process again.
I again send new photos by Canada post express service and tracking shows received on 17 Oct 2016.
I put a complain with Canada post that why my earlier photos package shows received and IRCC not acknowledging it. Canada post dealt with IRCC and send me a email that the earlier ones was received but IRCC has scanned it only on 13 OCT.
I send a case specific enquiry and again called IRCC and the agent put a remark on file that now 2 sets of photos are there one on the P.O box address and another at 42 Dorchester street.
Today I got the Pr card with the second sets I had send to 42 Dorchester street.

My timelines on Ecas:

Application Received -------------------May 24, 2016
Started Processing --------July 19 2016
Request For PR Card Approved--------- Aug 18 2016
Card Received In Mail---------------------Nov 10 2016

Due to the photo issues my PR card was delayed.

RAY2112 yours is on the way as we have similar timelines.

Hope so, congratulation for the card.

My application was received there on Sept 28th
