1) We received your application for a permanent resident card on August 15, 2016.
2) We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on September 12, 2016.
3) We started processing your application on September 12, 2016.
Been checking regularly to see if any updates but nothing, apparently they were checking apps on August 29th by October 21st. No calls or emails about it going to secondary.

elie72 said:Hi Praz,
Still I have no updates. I think the main reason for the delay of our PR card renewal is that our old PR card has not yet due. Mine will expire on Feb 23, 2017.
Calling the call centre is useless they dont tell anything new.
We have to be patient and wait.
Regards,

Praz said:After reading elie72 & RAY2112 previous posts, I now realize that I am in the same situation as you both.
My application was received: July 14
AOR email and processing: Aug 18
PR expiry date: Jan 2017
I have received no updates after that. I have called them a few times and they tell me that my application is open and is being processed.
My theory on the delay for the three of us is on the total days we have amassed in another single country over the duration of our PR. During my first year of my PR I had lived in Australia for more than 3/4 of a year completing the final year of my degree. I have also traveled a few times after that but have still accumulated 1260 days living in Canada at the time of sending in my application, which is about the same as you guys.
So I was wondering if any of you had received any updates on your application?
