I don't think the expiry date will have any iinfluence. Mine expired November 2015 and i a plied to renew it in may 2016
 
Today, I received email from IRCC that my application went to secondary review. I am very said :(

My timeline is ;

We have received your app on May 12
We sent a AOR on July 17
We have started processing on July 17

I am thinking of requesting urgent processing via case specific inquiry, IRCC Webform.
do you think that it is worwhile trying instead of just waiting and waiting ?
what is the best course of action for me to take now?

will requesting for urgent processing have a negative impact like further day to my case ?

You meant the first three years you were outside how many tax return you have?

I stayed in Canada from April 2014 until now.

tax return was filed for 6 years. I included tax return document in application.

is it relevant to my case sent to secondat review?

Like my previous thread above,
yesterday, I received email from IRCC that my application went to secondary review.

Today, I called IRCC call center to ask if requesting urgent processing via case specific inquiry is possible.

The agent said that my application is in primary review, NOT moved to secondary review.
there is discrepancy.

I am not sure which information is correct between infomation in email ('my application went to secondary review) and information the agent assessed and said.(Not secondary review)
I am not sure if the agent's system can show 'went to secondary review', maybe was not newly updated compared with email.

I had multiple situation like yours: Case Inquiry responses and other emails saying different from call centre agent's story. Happened at least 3 times.

In my case, it has *always* been the case that the written (i.e., not agent's) version was proven correct in the end.

I actually stopped talking to those agents, a miserable waste of time. I prefer to write and to wait... Again, all this was MY experience.

Me neither , No updates, but I think they are faster recently in processing. Hopefully, we will receive some news next week or the week after.
