Just courier our pack off, sucks the CIC has moved phased one to 85 days, hopefully they can get on top of it again.

Thanks for the advice! I'm still trying to figure out what to do.

You can apply for a visitor visa during the PR process. We considered doing it but the applicant requires strong ties back to their country of origin; like a very good job or a business or school or some kind of strong family ties to ensure that the applicant will go back to his/her country at the end of their stay in Canada (not overstay). It can be difficult to get that visitor approval. Depends of course, on your personal situation.

My wife tried to get a visitor visa in July 2013 and was refused despite submitting what "we" thought was a solid application.

My wife did receive an American visitor visa (much easier) and we have twice travelled to the northern US close to the Canadian border so that my family could come and visit with us and my wife could meet my aged and frail mother.

Best of Luck!

Hello everyone,

I have tried doing the spreadsheet for January 2015 Applicants, i just copied the format on some existing spreadsheet on the forum (i hope they don't mind).

It's not that fancy, so for anyone who is just fine with these spreadsheet please feel free to add all your information.

I have made it public and accessible for everybody. But please be careful on editing and messing up the whole entire doc.

Thank you for the help. I sent my application(updated the spreadsheet). Let the waiting begin.

For those of you who used a courier, which company did you use? I'm going to send mine at the end of this week (just waiting on a statutory declaration from a friend).

Why? You just have to type it in.. it takes awhile before the info reflect on the excel (depending on your internet connection) but it should be good.. or you can just tell me your timeline and ill add your info.

Canada Post(Express post) with Tracking and Signature. Make sure you select the signature option, if you decide to send through Canada Post

We have used DHL, 4 days from New Zealand, tracked and sig required.

Anyone been double charged their application fees before? CIC don't make it easy to contact them when there is a "hiccup"
