Hi Ccastillo,

Thanks for all the info! Sorry there was a typo, I was working in China (Not Canada) for three years and now I am back to Canada (And updated my address to CIC). I got worried because a lot of Jan applicants got their SA a few days after AOR. But it's been a week since I've received AOR (the first email saying they've received it counts as AOR right?), but have not yet received SA...

Waiting is such a painful thing...I miss my wife so much...

I feel your pain, I keep this is in my head, 'sacrifice now and live forever as a champion'

What is the next step to SA?

Two December forum applicants under Manila VO already had PPR!! This is quite good news for us, January applicants, because it gives us hope that we are coming next SOOON. (Crossing fingers)...

The two members had their SA last Feb 17 and March 9 respectively.

Pray pray pray, love and hope :)

Your Visa office may request for additional documents along with your passport if no problem arises from the checking of your application. Some applicants may also receive an AOR2 from their respective visa offices.

If you'll check on our spreadsheet the longest wait for SA from AOR is 15 days. if you can't wait you can try contacting them over the phone because if i'm not mistaken some of the January applicants just confirm their SA over the phone... each application is unique and it will also depends how the officer handling your file if they'll be sending you a notification of sponsor's approval or will notify you that you are approved to sponsor together with your file transfer notification to your respective Visa Office. But for now, i suggest you to relax because it's still under the indicated processing time.

I feel your pain everyone of us here longs for their partners. Hopefully the govt help us.. to make this processing a little bit shorter. Its just torture! All our lives are hanging and on pause.

That's good news! I should have been under Manila VO too but they transferred our file on Singapore which is known to be the longest processing time.. hopefully God would be hearing our prayers to speed the processing up.. there are few lucky ones on SG VO too to get it for 3 to 4 months and hopefully i can be as lucky as them!

I am still waiting can any for SA almost a month since I got the AOR but nothing else :(
can anyone provide me with their phone number I will call and check I am inside Canada please help here

Why did they send it to Singapore? Are you a Filipino citizen of living in Phillippines?

99% you have SA already based on your AOR date and the fact you have received no emails asking for extra documents etc. Many people are like you, did not receive an email, called CIC and found out they had SA. It has been a common issue in this thread.

Really? Processing time for Manila is like 17 months according to CIC.

Hello!
I received AOR on 2 april.
and today I could log in to ecas and this is what it shows:

Sponsorship
1.We received your application to sponsor XXXXX on February 9, 2015.
2.We started processing your application on April 1, 2015.

Permanant Residence
1.We received XXXXX application for permanent residence on February 9, 2015.
2.Medical results have been received.

Is this is a good sign?
I have yet to receive SA, does this mean I got it?

It's a good sign as your medicals have been received and all, but that doesn't mean that you have received your SA. They just saying that they started processing your app on this day, so consider it as an AOR so far, and after they will be done with it, the Sponsorship field will say "Decision Made" and number 2 will change into "We sent you a letter on April XX, 2015 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us."
I'm sure you should receive it by the end of this week. Check ECAS on Friday, as that's when mine changed.

Thank you for clarifying... Guess I just have to remain patient and wait...

The 3rd and 6th were holidays, so your wait will be longer than average, but this weekend is likely.
