Ladies and Gentlemen

I just called CIC on this number 1 800 242 2100

An agent answered me and asked me when did I send my application which was April 16 and she refused to access my file from her end because the CIC website is showing they are working on April 7. I explained to her that the last update on the website was May 26 and it has been more than 2 weeks since the last update.

She again said that she is not authorized to open files unless posted date has passed. I tried explaining to her that I wanted to know if there is any update on my file if I gave her my application number and my details. She said she cant.

Now can someone tell me if this is the usual service that everyone gets when they call and ask for the status of their application ? and why would not she consider accessing my file from her end to do me a service ? It is just not fair nor a customer service

Frustrated :-X

Yes this a fairly common thing and most agent wont look at your file if you havent passed the date on the website. There are some agents who would overlook this and give you an update - it happened to us

Permanent Residence
We received XXXXXXX application for permanent residence on April 13, 2015.

Medical results have been received.

I received my SA on June 8th, so does it mean that they have sent my file to NDVO and they are confirming that they received my medical? I haven't received AOR2 yet/

Yeah medical received, SA approved. But it doesn't have to be NDVO for sure until you get email or letter saying so, though most probably yes NDVO. They might have sent the file or in the process of transferring it.

Congratulations

Actually that shows like that from the first AOR. So it doesn't mean file has been transferred yet.

In order to get AOR2 a lot of people seem to call CIC to get that info.

We sent you correspondence on June 9, 2015 about the decision on your application.

This is what I just got on my ECAS Now

Can someone tell me if you guys quoted the same sentence in a DECISION MADE Status on ECAS ???

:o

I realized most of those who got decision made were having the same sentence but saying " we sent you a letter " now for me it says " we sent you correspondence " any one on the same boat ???

Just logged into ECAS and saw this today:

"3.We sent you a letter on May 29, 2015 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us."

Hopefully that means SA and hopefully I can receive the letter in mail soon. Feeling a bit relieved. Now the looooooooooong wait begins with NDVO.

Got my AOR2 from NDVO today. I really hope they dont take the 16 months they say it takes to process.

That is fast! :) congratulations! What does it say in the AOR2?

Progress! I did my standard check of eCAS this morning and found that it appears we got SA on June 9. :D

Well, it just says they made a decision, but since we aren't expecting there to be any issue with my sponsorship and we didn't get any request for additional documents that it will be a positive answer. We never got an email or anything, just an update to eCAS.

One more step done. While I know the long wait is just beginning, it felt SO GOOD to have a reason to update the 2015 Outland spreadsheet again. 24 days for AOR and 57 total days for SA.

You can be sure the file is in transit or transferred to NDVO and the AOR2 can take anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months or some people don't receive AOR2 from NDVO
