Reynalinc - You will probably get SA directly with no AOR. Should get it soon since a lot of the April 7th applicants already got their SAs.

Still no update in my Email and Mail but my Ecas is Decision Made already

I had the same thing on June 1 on ECAS
but I called CIC and they advised me that I got SA. I still have not received a letter or email from them with any of this information. I had to call and request an update. I would just call 90% on sponsors get approved... so you might want to save yourself the stress.

More than likely it is good news. Just call for an update. I had to call to get my client id and an update. I called I got SA on June 1 and still no email or letter.

This is true. This is the second time my wife and I have gone through the application process (long story) and we always seem to get communication on Thursdays. This application kept that same pattern, with our AOR coming on a Thursday. Did my morning eCAS check -- nothing yet, but it's still early, even in Mississauga.

I honestly think it is the system does an automated update on Thursdays.

I can't imagine going through this twice. I am just starting the process and my first time. So far everything is good.
The only surprise so far has been they are sending my husband's file to Port of Spain in Trinidad. He is a native of Trinidad but has been living in the US for the past 2 years. From what I see on the forums that US applicant move pretty quickly as they are processed in Ottawa. Wish me luck! And good luck to you also!

That makes sense, in the May thread, those of us who got AOR on Saturday (May 6) and Wednesday (May 10) only just got ECAS access today.

hi guys!!! I'm new here trying to find the solution for my problem. Having a multiple visitor visa which is valid till April,2016 I came to Canada in May, 2014 and got married. It's been a year I've been staying here with my husband. All this time Canadian Embassy extended my staying two times and last time they gave me the extension till May, 2016.
Recently me and my love decided to apply outland because the terms of consideration are faster. We have gathered almost all the documents....just waiting for C Option which is supposed to come only in two weeks. Everything looks fine, but the problem is that we decided to go to my motherland in two weeks to see my family. Everything is booked. We plan to come back together after spending two weeks in Ukraine. We thought we would manage to send all the documents for PR (sponsorship outland) before we go to Ukraine and it is gonna be a reason for customs to explain that I'm coming back to Canada with my husband to wait for the Embassy's decision concerning my PR here. And my multiple visa actually allows me to re enter again. But unfortunately it seems like we won't be able to send the documents to the Embassy before our trip. Do you think there is a possibility that they can refuse me to enter Canada on our return after such short term staying outside Canada?
Maybe it is better to cancel the tickets and stay here? We just do not want to be separated for a year or more till they consider our documents for PR.

I'll be extremely appreciated for any of your advice or feedback.
The days of our trip are approaching and we are very confused what to do.

I just called CIC on this number 1 800 242 2100

An agent answered me and asked me when did I send my application which was April 16 and she refused to access my file from her end because the CIC website is showing they are working on April 7. I explained to her that the last update on the website was May 26 and it has been more than 2 weeks since the last update.

She again said that she is not authorized to open files unless posted date has passed. I tried explaining to her that I wanted to know if there is any update on my file if I gave her my application number and my details. She said she cant.


Now can someone tell me if this is the usual service that everyone gets when they call and ask for the status of their application ? and why would not she consider accessing my file from her end to do me a service ? It is just not fair nor a customer service

Yeah, it certainly adds a whole new dimension to it. Our first application was a Conjugal Partner application (part of that long story) in September of 2013. In May of 2014 we got a request for more documents, which we provided. We then got a second message saying we needed to pay the RPRF. We were excited because everyone told us "They won't ask for the RPRF unless they are planning to grant your application." We paid the fee, waited a couple weeks and then got a rejection. We were devastated and it took until April of this year before our circumstances changed so we could apply again as a married couple.

We think someone looked at our first application and said "Yep, approved, pay the fee" and then after we paid the fee it landed on someone else's desk who looked at it and decided "Nope, denied." We'll always wonder if we had paid the RPRF up front and not made them come back to us if we could have been together for over a year already.

Needless to say, we're super paranoid this time -- AOR, SA, DM...we see all of those as little steps. Until we have that COPR in hand and successfully get my wife landed, we're taking nothing in this process for granted, no matter how many times people tell us spousal applications from the US have a very high approval rate.

It's been a long three years since we became a couple and we're just hoping we're finally getting close to the end.

Let's face it, for us these applications represent our hopes, our dreams, our future. It is the most important thing we have going on. They handle thousands of these applications so we're nothing but a number to them. I don't know if it's so much they don't care as they simply can't. If they actually handled each application and each request in a manner consistent with how important they are to us, they'd never get anything done. I think that's why they default to "The policy says..." and move on.

I agree to your words and because this is spousal of a partner, there should be great help from their end when it comes to family gathering.
Added to the fact that accessing files online and giving info is not a waste of time compared to the argument we may have in a single call nevertheless if repeated calls to get one piece of info or an update.
I understand the policy and will respect it. However I am not happy by the service nor the outcome added to the whole process if I take that in consideration.

I wish it is as simple as thorough as speedy as transparent when it comes to family gathering and all the tools, services, system should be serving this moral and appreciate it's importance
