I sent in my app on march 5 and they received on the next day.
Took about 10 days for CanadaPost update their website status. Altought I've opened a complaining and they returned my money.

Canada Post did the same with me. I sent it Priority with next business day guarantee. It was a headache but they finally sent me a signed certificate that it was delivered on April 13, 2015.

But what I meant to ask was about the CIC Application Status page. When I try to check the status of my application it just says that it can't identify me.
How long until they update it with my application? any ideas?

The online system will not recognize you until sponsorship approval, most of the time with an AOR CIC does not update ECAS which is the online system you are referring to did you get a UCI number of just a temp file application #?

All I have at the moment is the Receipt number that shows that I paid $1040. Nothing else.

Oh relax a little.
You'll only be able to acess Ecas when you receive your AoR.
I received mine on last friday and could login yesterday.
Some people can't acess Ecas until receive SA as well.
For now all you have to do is wait.

Wait for an official CIC letter, which should come like i said in about a month and a half as they are currently processing applications in Feb.

Does anyone know when CIC updates the wait times on processing Assessment of Sponsor? CIC sites does say that the time for this is updated weekly but last update was March 31, which is 3 weeks ago.

Chris.

Thank you everyone for letting me know. I'm sure I'll have more questions as the process moves along.

All the best!

I think it is best to check cic website to ensure that you are filling out the correct information and documentation. There is a checklist that needs to be looked at to ensure you are filling out the right forms for what you are applying for as well as where.

It might also be worth paying someone to help you fill out the applications and documents that are needed. I personally didn't use a lawyer as they are too expensive, but an immigration counselor.

ECAS

They just made a change showing it was last updated April 14, 2015

61 days
(Working on applications received on February 19, 2015)

When it says April 14, it's actually as of April 21. However, many applications receive their AOR ahead of the quoted time.

But this 61 days includes sa too?
I always thought that "x" days is for completion of whole stage 1.
