Hello to all,

I was wondering if someone could help me regarding my spouse's sponsorship process. Is it true that after you send the application to Missisauga, it gets transferred directly to London Visa Office now instead of Islamabad Visa office? I saw it on the CIC site that London Visa Office is now reponsible for all Pakistani spousal sponsorships? How does it look for 2015 applicants, will the application really get processed in about 11 months? I will be applying once I'm back in Canada, which is in a few weeks.

yes thats what they say, but what happens practically, we would know only once we deal with it. i read in a paper about 2 years ago that they are speeding up the immigration process and even today when you go online they say wait time is 33 months. well that doesn't seem to be a fast process clearly. but yes you are right right now they are focusing on clearing up back logs of 2010/11/12 & even 2013. so we are hoping they will actually speed up in coming year

well seems good for the world I believe, but as for Pakistan its a bit unrealistic.. hope this is true for Pakistan as well.. see this link..

yeah it is true now it takes only 11 month but the whole process in mississauga and london visa office would take at least 13 month altogether if your application package is complete.

man!!! It's about citizenship, the link is about citizenship timeline NOT immigration timeline. Immigration & citizenship are 2 different things.
I'm almost certain that in this link minister is talking about citizenship part(for citizenship you have to live in Canada for certain number of days(based on whatever and however you got to Canada) before you apply for citizenship which ultimately means obtaining Canadian passport.
Chao.

Does anyone know what's the current processing time for Pakistani spouses? As I read on cic website that it is 29 months for London Visa office. Has anyone recently applied? I just sent in my husband's sponsorship documents and now I see the processing time has gone up from 11 to 29 months.
