Hi Guys, has anyone been able to send his/her passport including the prepaid waybill to Mexico Visa Office from Argentina? I seem to be having a hard time doing this. All the courier services do not offer prepaid waybill service from here. Even contacted VFS Global here in Argentina and they said the send passports to Canadian embassy here in Buenos Aires only. Does anyone have any idea how I can get the prepaid waybill?

Hi, there was the same here in Colombia... But actually I found a reseller (not the direct currier) of Fedex who was able to sell me the prepaid airway bill... As they had an account with Fedex, they just included their account number in the paper (airway bill) and charged me in advance... The embassy used that paper to send my passports back to Colombia...

In summary, couriers don't do it because you don't have an account with them, but if a reseller has an account with a courier, they can sell you the prepaid airway bill..

I hope this helps (and applies to Argentina too)

Hi Chuksol.

If you check the website of VFS, it says clearly they do it. Try talking with someone else. Visit the office, do not call.

Seniors I need your advice.

My partners passport is going to expire on January 2016 (only 5 months remaining) and he want to go to renew it.

The issue is that we are still waiting for FBI reports to send the police certificates and I dont know if renewing the passport now can be a problem.

Here in El Salvador your new passport is ready in only 4 hours so time is no a problem, also the ID number of the passport doesn't change, so I have been thinking in renew it this week and send the photocopy by email to the Mexico Embassy before they ask us for our passports.

The reason is that I am afraid that if He doesn't renew it now, when they ask for the passport we will have only few months to travel to Canada given his passport expiration date.

What do you think, should I wait or is better if I do it now? and what is the procedure?

Thanks a lot for your help! Saludos!

What if you just ask the MVO for now... drop them an email... it is possible that they will respond...

Anyways, I remember that when I received my PR they said that, if my passport was about to expire, I should think on getting a new one... Then I guess it wouldn't be a problem if you change it...

"If the validity of your passport or the passport of any
accompanying family member expires before this date, your visa will expire at this earlier date. If
it is the case, that person may wish to apply for a new passport"

Hi. I got my PR yesterday. I am so happy!!! :)

Quick question. For the confirmation of current mailing address, what do we have to send/do? If we have to send a utility bill, for example, should it be translated?

Thanks

Hi, I just sent a small "letter" stating my current address and phone.. I think they only need a confirmation from you to make sure that they will ship to the correct address...

Dear friends, after 13 weeks of waiting and thanks to God, I am very pleased to tell you that yesterday the FBI mailed us the US police report. Now I have to wait patiently for the report to come to El Salvador, I hope they get here on time.

Thats is the final document that we need to send to Mexico so we are really excited :)

I will follow your advice and recommend my partner renewing his passport this week to send the copy to Mexico as well and hopefully I will get my PPR soon!

Good vibes to all of you and please update your progress!

Hi Guys! I was able to find someone who has an account with UPS and I sent our passports with the prepaid included to Mexico. The passports were sent on Tuesday and it got to Mexico today, Thursday. Thanks for your advice JaraPablo and EduardoJRP.
Secondly, I just saw that the UPS package was signed for by SWALDO SALINAS. Is there someone on the forum whose documents were received by this person at the Canadian embassy in Mexico?
