Hello all

I'm eligible under the newly included occupation list. Now I have a question. I gave general ielts in 2011 & got a score of 8. Then I gave academic ielts in 2013 & scored 8.5. Now I know that FSW requires general ielts. But can I submit the academic one with the main app now & send the general one later? Since it will take time to sit for general ielts & then receive the results & THEN apply! What to do? ???

Dear Nusrath,

Only General Test is eligible for IELTS in PR case, i m afraid Academic will not work and in turns CIC will reject your application. Please sit in General and then only send the file.

I see, I would advice you to speak to your HR once again.
Try to reach higher authorities by phone, email. Express your challenges to more wider and higher authority, and put everything on email. Make logical reasons as to why you want the letter, not just immigration, but as a evidence of your job efforts need a substance in the form of a paper evidence.

The reference letter is very important, and people have got it.

Thank you for the advice. I called HR again and it was a straight no, the HR supervisor was like they already made an exception to supply a job reference letter earlier. My manager, on the other hand, was like he can sign a statement on that the position is Mechanical Engineer in nature. But that would be a personal offer and cannot be on letterhead. I guess I would just attach that to the job reference letter, also signed by my manager. Hope this will work. What do you think?

Need urgent help.
I have applied to quebec earlier and now want to apply under FSW.
For quebec me & my spouse had applied with the passport of before marriage. i.e. i don't carry wife's name in my passport and she is having her maiden name in passport.
We provided marriage certificate as a proof and that works and we got the file number.

The problem is, i went to passport seva kendra for PCC and they rejected my application, as they were telling me i have applied as a married status for PCC while my passport does not have wife's name.
I explained the things above i have mentioned to them as well provided marriage certificate as a proof still they were not convinced.
They are telling me that either i should apply for PCC as a single (we both) or me & my spouse should change the detail in passport as per the name after marriage for her and for me add her name in my passport, then apply.
What should I do. Please help me guys.

can any one tell me whether the birth certificate , marriage certificate, employment letter ,passport copies which are sumbitted with the application needs to be attested ??

Would WES evaluate CA degree from India a well apart from Bcom for which I have applied for university transcripts.

What documents WES accept for CA in india? Any idea ?

Yes you need to get CA degree evaluated by WES.
for that you need to apply for transcript and marksheet attestation to ICAI Exams.
Remember one thing. You have to mention in your application or cover letter that you need seperate envelop for transcript and marksheets & certificate. take transcript and attestion for all the attempts.

if i apply under federal skilled worker, how long I will apply for PERmanent resident? and what specific work place in canada i will be working if ever i will apply? is this applicable to all places in canada depending on the job offer? please im so confused thanks..

If you have already received a job reference earlier, I would suggest you to use the same.
Make an affidavit mentioning to CIC that your company HR is not giving another letter.

Get the letter from your manager about your duties as a mechanical engineer without the letter head - refer in the notarized copy, that your manager is willing to vouch for your duties as a mechanical engineer and**** Clip his business card, along with the letter. All the best ..
