I noticed from tracking sheet that there is no one who received pre-screen email since 18/4/2014, around one month ago. Is it logic? or no one update his status?


....maybe NSOI still assessing applicants from the month of March...

40-43 Working Days(excluding saturday, sunday & Local public Holiday) approximately by the NSOI from the date of application received !

..so regardless if they applied to other program...assessment will depend on the Immigration Officer for NSNP...

Remember your settlement plan is the most important part of the application so maybe those people had a very strong settlement plan or they may have friends/family in ns

I would say by June first week there will be an increase in the number of Application in-take (150 cap)..Immigration minister already hinted about this earlier...citing this article and the previous article in the middle of the April. Thanks for posting the article !!!

You feel confident that this is a strong possibility?
I am not sure if we should keep our hopes up or count too much on this happening anytime soon ;D

I feel why so because if you look at the way NSOI behaved in the turn of events from March till the last day April 28, one would ask why they didn't stop accepting in the end of march???... they very well know that, they have got a good numbers of application to choose 150 from that, again my next point is why did they revise the rule in April 1st week, you could argue let's say ....to eliminate the applications or they didn't get the best or to get the even more best.. On top of this, NS province need immigrants with the ageing population and eyeing the latest immigration developments..it appears that they will increase the cap as per my understandings

Well I see your points and hope you are right. I am not trying to be pessimistic, but at same time I think we ought not to get overly optimistic either given how they seem to easily change the "rules of the game" on applicants. I have seen this before where CIC takes in many applications, there is great overload, they cannot manage and simply end up cancelling applications in huge numbers. So this acceptance of applications till April 28 may not be significant.

I am just saying hopeful yes, but temper the over optimism!
But again best of luck and I sincerely hope your hunches are correct.
